I am retired and live in Central North Carolina. I have been doing family research for 40 years. The internet just makes it easier to look for dead relatives, but you still have to make sure the information is correct.
Some of my favorite cemeteries are Bonaventure in Savanah, Ga, Allegheny in Pittsburgh, Pa and Oakdale in Wilmington, NC. I love the old statues and the hidden meanings of different designs of headstones.
All photos submitted by me are copyrighted by me, no use of photos for any other website or personal use is given without prior consent.
Transfers: Transfers outside Find A Grave guidelines will be assessed on a case by case basis. Please tell me your specific relationship to the deceased.
I am glad to enter corrections, links and additional information. Please use the Edit tab on the memorial and click on the Suggest a Correction link. Do not email transfer requests or corrections. Please use the Edit tab on the memorial.
ADDENDUM: Photographs I have taken at burial locations may be used by others for any legitimate purpose. Hopefully, I would be given credit for the work. Personal photographs I have added to memorials that I created and maintain, remain in my control and are considered copyrighted materials. I hope that you will enjoy viewing the personal photographs I have posted.
Please visit my dear friend Pam who died much too soon.

Thanks, I know where Gilmer is, but some people go nuts if you don't have exact, LOL! Had one graver that argued because I could not put township in even though Find A Grave did list, bio was enough! Thanks again, enjoy the fall!

Hi -- thanks for your note. Since you aren't required to transfer to me by the site guidelines, my sister, Margie, will join Find-A-Grave and request transfer of the memorial to herself within Find-A-Grave guidelines, since she is Kristina's mother, and we will sponsor it and remove the ads. We very much appreciate the original page manager's creation of the memorial and your later adoption of it. It's nice of you to care. Our family's grief is never-ending, so you can imagine that Margie would like to take care of her daughter's memorial. We were able to figure out which of Margie's friends is your sister-in-law, and i have met her on occasion as well. Thank you.

I have some information on Mr. May you may want. He was born 11/13/1859 in Chatham Co., North Carolina. Entered Alaska 1906, entered Pioneer home in 2/1/1935 from Fairbanks. Died 9/4/1938. Was a miner and farmer. Worked on Vault Creek then on Pedro Creek; took up homesteading 5 miles from Fairbanks in 1909. Never married. Father: George May, Mother: Julia Harris, both born in North Carolina. This was from a report by Robert N. DeArmond taken from the records at the Pioneer Home. I can send you a photo of the cover page and information page if you like. Hope this helps. Thank you for giving to Find A Grave.

Left flowers for Beulah and husband. Checked Norma's YOB versus Beulah's YOB and Beulah was 11 yrs older than Norma. It's possible that when Beulah retired Norma then took that job. Just sent an e-mail to my cousin who was a niece of Norma's asking for verification on name of school where Norma taught. In 1986 when my husband & I were in Monaco in the South of France, as pure coincidence would have it, a couple sunning on the beach beside us were from Sanford. I asked them if they knew Norma and they said she taught at their school. It's a shame I don't remember where they said they attended school! It'll be interesting to find out if my cousin knows. Still need to find time to ck out Womble kinship of Norma's husband to your Womble family.
So you know, the grave marker photo for Wm Sellers, Jr (#106061981) you posted 1/23/16 is the correct photo as DOB & DOD match memorial dates. Just put the photo requests back on F-A-G in case you don't have time to re-visit until sometime in the future. Maybe someone else will save you the time and effort of another trip!
If you need to contact me, you know the system. Thanks so much for all your help and kindness.

|Mary||Wm Sellers, Jr. #106061981 vs his Father, Wm Sellers|
First, thanks so much for going to Green Hill Cemetery and checking out whether there is a grave marker or not Wm Sellers, SR #106061946, Mattie Sellers #106062026, & Lyda Kinney #104218174.
I rec'd your "underground e-mail" message to me. Here's the situation...you had fulfilled my request for Wm Sellers, JR (#106061981) when you added his grave marker photo to his memorial on 1/23/16. I sincerely thank you for that!
What happened is on Wm Sellers, SR (#106061946) you accidentally added the grave marker photo of his son, Wm Sellers, JR on 5/30/16, to SR's memorial. I thank you for your time & effort, but you'll have to remove it.
In your message to me, you stated that "the other Sellars and Kinneys are unmarked graves". You said you took photos of each plot and would upload. I sincerely thank you for that but I do have another request. When you add the plot photo for Wm Sellers, SR (#106061946, Mattie Sellers (#106062026) & Lyda Kinney (#104218174) would you please add a caption statement that the grave is unmarked & you personally visited Green Hill Cemetery and the date of your visit? Since I don't manage their memorials, I would appreciate your adding that information.
Also, I left flowers for Pam, your 4 deceased classmates, and your immediate family members. It's my way of saying "thank you" to you for taking your time and effort to fulfill my photo request.
Another thing I wanted to mention is a deceased cousin of mine, Norma Moore Womble taught Home Economics at the high school in Sanford, NC. Saw on your Father's memorial that you were military and lived in different places so didn't know if you went to high school in Sanford or not. Norma's memorial #30907314 & spouse, John Barringer Womble #30907314. Haven't had time to ck your Womble family vs John's Womble family to see if related.
Please send me another "underground e-mail". Sincere thanks for all your time and effort.

Since the downfall of the F.A.G. forums, I've pretty much been in "non contact" with anyone from that old group. That sucks because I could always count on people to help with random questions or clarification on most any brick wall solutions I could pose.
I've been busy trying to finalize Mayflower Society applications for my wife, daughter, and mother-in-law. I've hit a bit of a snag and it has slowed me down. I'm getting to old for this kind of needless stress.
To top things off, we are redoing our kitchen and downstairs. That is a process and not very convenient. Memorial day is a busy time for me because i "flag" the graves of soldiers in lost cemeteries locally. Nobody else cares it seems but it is important to me.

Thanks for going after the photo request. The other photo has only been there a couple days, I'm baffled that it got there without fulfilling and removing my request. But ... Stranger things have happened. Thanks for all you do
