Bio

Hello,
I've always taken notes of family members, don't know why, just did. My mother's family and their gatherings when I was young were very interesting to me. They would either be telling stories or playing musical instruments which this tradition carried on through myself and children and cousins too.
Digging until I find the truth seems to be a trait of mine and having respect for the lives of the people that came before me that made my life possible.
I have three wonderful sons, grown now, four handsome grandsons, one beautiful granddaughter, and one brand new sweet baby great grandson.
I wrote a book on my mother's side of the family called "The Christian Family From Texas To The Isle of Man" used as a reference book located at the Lampasas Library in Lampasas, TX. It's filled with pictures, stories, and information of The "Christian" line, "Brown" line, Fountain, and many others.
I completed the book in 2008 while taking treatments for cancer NHL. The cancer kept coming back so I received a stem cell transplant in 2011 and am proud to say I am cancer free. So I say all this to say genealogy kept me occupied while going through treatments, which was a great diversion. Couldn't write or research much last year, but am back at it now. So thankful for my special donor and the ability to be able to see my new grandchildren (triplets 2 years old now) and the new great grand child.
Currently working on my Dad's family book "Windom/Windham" line, Self, Woodward,Echols/Eckols, Goldin,Drawhorn, and many others, all research work finished, now arranging and printings book. Some from SanSaba, TX.
Also working on my mother's side of "De La Fontaine" family or now Fountain, and Brown,Lee,Lott,McKean,Chatfield,Buchanan,Christian, and others. You might visit some of the sights I have added to. I have pictures to share and stories that may connect with your own family. Julia Lee McKean (Christian)b.Nov.6,1857 in TX and Uel Christian b.March 23, 1856 in Bastrop and their family downline Or Mabel Hassie Brown (Christian) and her brothers and sisters and children and grandchildren.
I so appreciate the help I have received from other researchers and cherish old photographs too of loved ones. Thank you to "Findagrave" for this wonderful opportunity of recording records of our distant past and fascinating genealogy.
