I'm a South Georgia boy; born in Waycross shortly after the "Great Depression"; moved to Brunswick at age four and ended up in Dublin through high school; a graduate of North Georgia College and an Army veteran. I have lived in North Carolina for the past 37 years. Being the last living family member in my generation, I have become very interested in my family tree. Thanks to "Find a Grave", I have found great and great great grandparents. My daughter introduced me to to F.A.G. and I've been hooked every since. I throughly enjoy filling photo request; I know they mean a lot to the person and are very rewarding within themselves. I greatly appreciate my request being filled.|
Photography is one of my interest along with golf, fishing, writing, you name it and most of all my family. My genealogy family names are Bailey, McDaniel, Manning, Strickland,Sears, Summerlin, Ricketson, Vickers,Gaskin, Minix, Douglas, Raulerson, Pearson, Moody, Davis, Radford, Morgan, Lott, Causey; mostly in South Georgia counties Ware, Atkinson, Coffee, Brantley, Wayne, Pierce and Glynn.
I primarily cover request in N.C. for counties Northwest Moore,but also cover about a twenty mile radius reaching Northeast Montgomery, Southwest Chatham, and Southeast Randolph for request at least one month old.
Leaving flowers on veterans' memorials is a dedication for me; particulary those with whom I served.

I remember on our way down dad would pull in at aunt Callie's house and visit a while,still trying to find the place when me and my family goes down for a visit ane eat at Jacks which probeley isn't good for us either.It was wonderful too see Aunt Callie and Uncle Letch's photos in Find A Grave,I would love to see more and also know the history of Jones Tyre for my children. James Frank Green
I placed a photo on his memorial, too.

I was having lunch with a lady that remembered Dr. Frank Green, and he and his wife died in a tragic car accident on I 20 in 1980.
I was looking at his memorial and saw you placed a flower. I am wondering if you knew him in service?
If that is where he started his education to become a doctor. He attended high school with my dad.
After trying to locate an obituary online with no luck, I thought I would ask you so we can piece together info for him between his high school grad in 1953 and him becoming a doctor that folks loved in our town. I would love to know any info you might share.
|pallred||RE: Request not filled|
Sorry to hear about your health issues but I hope you are getting better.
I know you will fulfill my photo requests when you are able to do so but your health is more important.
Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you since you have been extremely helpful to me in the past.

|William H Scott Jr||RE: Nelson Scott photos|
Thanks for the reply.
Nelson may have lied about his age to enlist into the service. It doesn't explain the date of death difference. I'm with you on the upright stone being correct.

I'm William Hustin Scott Jr.
My grandfather was Abigh E. Scott, his Father was William Henry Scott and his father, Nelson Scott would be my great great grandfather.
I really like this site, before I found it I only knew my family's tree back to my grandfather. I would like to have your permission to copy your photos of Nelson Scott's tombstones to share with my family.
By the way, the photos of Nelson Scott's tombstone show "born 1839 and died 1916", but the smaller stone said 1841 and 1918 ? I assume both these stones are on the same grave, my guess is that the dates on the "CO C 10 NC" stone are wrong. What do you think?
Thanks for giving me your time in reading this and considering giving me permission to copy and share these 2 photos with my family.
William H Scott Jr.
