I'm a Yankee transplanted to South to pick up the pieces of a life gone awry. After spending a great deal of my life in school studying history and working in the museum field, I have now settled on computers as a new outlet for my interest in history. My family's history can be traced back to at least the Norman Invasion of England and I (with my sister) descend from kings of the Scottish Celts, Irish Celts and Norman Scots, which I have known for as long as I can remember -- my history always being a part of my present. Because I grew up going to cemeteries with my parents to visit the graves of relatives, I have a long-standing affinity for burial places, whether a dolmen in Ireland or a weed filled forgotten family plot. My idea of relaxing when my mind is in turmoil is to go clean the graves of those long gone and forgotten, just to let them know that someone thought about them. My blog will be a place where I can showcase my interest in death art via photographic journeys through cemeteries and finding noted articles of interest. Feel free to contact me if you are interested in having me perform any research or photograph a grave in my area for your genealogy.|

|Hal G. Brown||Rev John E. Skipper|
I am researching our church history Ė Ft. McCoy UMC in Ft. McCoy Florida. (ftmccoyumc.org) found your memorial for Rev. Skipper on find-a-grave (http://findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=73292612)
Rev. Skipper was a pastor of the Burbank Methodist Ė which folder and merged with the Ft. McCoy church, thus he is part of our history. I know that he attended Birmingham College in 1915 and served about a dozen churches in north central Florida over the course of his career. But, donít know not much else about him and donít have a picture.
Just thought I would check and see if you would allow me to use your gravestone picture in our church history (website history section).
All the best, -Hal

I am looking for my relatives. The story is long and bittersweet. My beloved grandmother was raised in the Baptist Children's home due to the death of her father when she was 6 years old. Her mother could not afford to care for 7 children... the year 1909. She attempted to keep them for a year after her husband's death, but at various times had to place one child after another in the BCH. Elliott Roberts and Angeline Roberts are my great great grand parents as I have recently found out due to the records still being available in the BCH. Their son was John Madison Roberts who married Cora Barnard. They had 7 children: Rena, Cassie, Alvah, Thomas William, Angeline(my grandmother), Elliot, and John( Cora was pregnant with little John when his father,John Madison, died). Is there any way for you to add a picture to his listing (J M Roberts birth and death unknown) or all of those that are in the family plot? My father has since passed on with all of his siblings with exception to one. My aunt is the last remaining child of Angie (Angeline's) and she will turn 90 in June. I would so very much like to include any photos into the booklet I am making for her as all in our family have missed knowing who all of these people were/are. Thank you for doing all that you do for those of us that no longer live in areas in which we can go to view for ourselves. Your interest and devotion fills a void many of us have had for years. Again, many thanks and blessings.

Dear Spirit Dust,
my name is Erwin de Mooij and I am the content webmaster for the 457th Bomb Group Association website.
At this moment I am working on a virtual cemetery/memorial on the website honering all 339 KIA/MIA/KIS of the group.
I saw your picture of Alton Eason's grave marker and I was wondering if I could use it for the memorial. If you made any other photos of 457th BG members would I be able to use these too?
We would greatly appreciate it.
