Bio and Links
Bio Photo Greetings, and thank you for visiting my profile page. I would like to sincerely thank all of the contributors who provide so much valuable information for the memorials. We all agree the memorials are a work in progress. Find a Grave works so well because of the fantastic, dedicated contributors such as yourself. I receive a LOT of edits and additonal information. I try hard to handle my edits in a timely fashion. Sometimes I am unable to keep up with thanking each and everyone that provides edits and additonal information. For this I am sorry but I sincerely appreciate your hard work and hopefully together we are helping a lot of people with family searches and honoring our departed loved ones.
May God bless each of you.

I am originally from Hartsville, Darlington, Florence area of
South Carolina. I am related to the Watkins, Williams, Browns, Lloyd, Parnells, Kelleys , Kellys, McDonalds, and many many more. This is a great site for building family history to pass on to our children and grand children. God Bless and have a glorious day!

Revelation 21:4
King James Version (KJV)

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

My Brother: Dantzler W. Watkins

P.S. Please take a moment to visit the memorial for Morgan Thompson . We went to High School together. Morgan had been living in the Boy's Home for a number of years. He haid been talking for a couple of years about joining the Army as soon as he was old enough so he could get out of the Boy's Home. He joined the Army and came by school to show us his uniform. He had a smile from ear to ear! I will never forget how proud he looked in his dress uniform. He had just completed basic training and was on his way to Vietnam. A few short months later we got word that Morgan had been killed in combat. God bless you Morgan. You made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Freedom is not free. Through the sacrifices of many thousands of men and women like Morgan we have freedom. He was only 18! Cherish this freedom and never let it be taken away.

Essie Mae Jones Parker
Your Info: Evergreen Cemetery/Jacksonville, FL/Plot: Section 6 Block 2

You have my Aunt Essie Mae Jones Parker listed with a "Eddie Parker" as her husband. Her husband was C.D. (Cader D.) Parker who is buried in Riverside Memorial Park according to his obituary. The rest of the bio info you have on her page is correct. Eddie Parker must have married a different Essie Mae.

Thanks for your attention to this matter,

Laura Louvenia Williams Roberts

Haynes Family
I have lived in Jax FL all my life (I'm now 66) and am just now finding out about my ancestors who lived and dies here. I didn't know several are buried in Evergreen Cemetery. I never knew my grandfather had a second brother named Leyden who evidently moved to New Mexico but died here?
Thank you for providing new clues to my family history. No one in my family took any interest and I would like to leave something for my daughter and grandson.

Marine
Thank you so much Johnny.

My Parents are buried in Section 17 which is Fern street so I am familiar with this section. I will check it out.

As far as Ida goes, James remarried and moved to Tampa, Florida but he is buried in Evergreen. Earle W. and James W. are the sons of Ida and James W., Sr. who died in 1960.
Ida died in 1953 and James remarried in 1954.
Makes since that he would be buried in the double grave with Ida. I will check in the office.

So glad to hear that you doing well. Exercise is good but hope that you take good care with this heat.

Good hearing from you also.

Regards,
Shirley

Earle W. Marine
Hi Johnny, I hope that you are doing well. I have finally gotten back to my genealogy.
You took a picture of Earle W. Marine on 01/23/2015. If you still have these pictures would you check to see if a James W. Marine and/or a Ida Marine are next to him.
There seems to be a little confusion on my part and I want to make sure that I have the right person in the right place.
He is my Memorial No. 104633826.
If you have time to review this, I would appreciate. I can go to the office so please don't spend much time on this for me.
