"I may not be from the South but I got here as soon as I could"|
I live in Asheville, North Carolina but travel to South Carolina and Georgia in search of relatives/ancestors graves. I would be more than happy to photograph gravestones from Madison County, North Carolina to Augusta, Georgia and maybe beyond.
My ancestors include Culpeppers, Cunninghams, and Hagers from the South and Pratts and Parkers from the North.
My maternal grandfather may be from the St. Regis Indian reservation which bordered northern New York State and Quebec, Canada. His father's last name was Marche (not sure of the spelling). His father left his pregnant wife at the Warren County Home in Warrensburg, New York around 1903.
My grandfather is listed as Charles Marvin on the 1910 Census living with Harriet Pratt, who is sister-in-law to Lawrence Pratt who later adopts my grandfather (per the 1915 New York Census).
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't know that Walter Tilley was buried beside his wife. Would you mind adding his grave pic as well. I made a memorial for him, Find A Grave Memorial# 134952832. Thanks for all you help!

I had breast cancer in 1989 and again last year. right now I am clear. thanks for asking.
|Annette Plemmons||Thank you!!!!|
Richard Vernon and Marie Miller Webb, their headstone is huge. With your photography skills, you're the only person that could give that headstone justice. Then you took a close up and cropped it down to show details. You take pride in your work and I really appreciate that.
Grateful for your time and efforts,
|Penny Alexander||Oscar Headrick|
You took a headstone picture for me last year In September of Oscar Headrick. I am sorry I am taking so long to thank you. I was in the hospital at the time and lost track of my emails. Thank you so much. I really appreciate this.

Lori, yesterday I had the chance to visit my GGM's maker at Lewis Memorial. You had taken the Find A Grave photos for me some time ago. The cemetery was open but the office was closed. As you know, it is a vast area and most markers are flat with the ground. I was overwhelmed at the thought of having to walk the grounds in that heat. I took a chance and pulled up your photos and studied the cemetery photo that you included. I followed the road until I found the area that matched up with your photo and parked the car thinking I would have to walk the entire area. I was thrilled to step out of the car and find her marker only a few feet away! Thank you so much for including that photo! What a gift! It made my day! Thank you!
