Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi,

I use FAG as a means of communicating to others the information I accumulate. I appreciate your postings on my memorials, but please, no death certificates.

I'll be happy to transfer records to you if you are relatives of those I have management of. To request changes of any kind, go to the memorial in question, click on the [edit] at the top right of the memorial and then select the desired option. That will give me a link to the proper memorial. Changes requested here on my profile page will be deleted with no action.

I post pictures of the persons based on what I have available. If you have better pictures, feel free to post them and send me a note so I can decide if I want to remove the one I have posted.

Jasper Murray
Jasper Murray
Burial:
L P Union Cemetery
Benton County
Missouri, USA

Is this Jasper Murray the Willis J. (Jasper) Murray the father of John William Murray B. 1861 and was married to Adeline Gipson?

My great-grandmother was Dicie Adeline Murray and she was some how connected to the Brashears family. Mary Ellen Brashears raised her son Roy Eugene McGee who is buried out at Spring Branch outside of Wheatland.

Please email me if you can help me.

William Ralph Button
Jan,
I was just wondering if you realized that you had added the tombstone picture for William when there had already been one on his memorial? I wouldn't want the space used up if I had personal pictures to add. I just found it while doing my genealogy today.

RE: Sarah J Breshears
Glad to get that cleared up. Now looking at James Knox Polk Breshears and his second wife, we all have Virginia P. Baker, but she had Virginia Baker and William T. Baker before she married James. So I was assuming Baker was her married name and she was widowed. Looking for a Virginia marrying a Baker, I found, Virginia Byrn she married George W. Baker on 02 Apr 1857 in Polk Co., MO. I can't find anything on Virginia and James after the 1870 census where they are with James. I looked into it a little more, James married Margaret Ann Byrns after Virginia's death, I went up the line for Margaret A. Byrns Breshears and found out her father was James Byrns and mother was Sarah Vaughan. James and Sarah had a Virginia Byrns in 1838. Our Virginia P. Baker Breshears was born in 1838. I think Virginia P. Baker Breshears is actually Virginia P. Byrns Baker Breshears, daughter of James & Sarah Byrns, wife of George W. Baker & James K. P. Breshears. That may be how Margaret and James met.
Let me know what you think and if you have a lead on Virginia's children, Virginia and William Baker.

Brashers/Brashears/Breshears ETC
I work on family in Lawrence Co MO, because that is where my Mother was born, and I have many family members buried there. I am also related to the Breshears from Benton Co MO. Recently I found a large family named Brashers, with many different spellings...I noticed that they came via Lawrence Co TN, just like the Breshears in Benton Co MO. Are you familiar with this line?

RE: Sarah Ann Franklin Cooper
A little more on this. It appears that the photo I added is a replacement for the older original.
You may be able to see them together at this link

I removed the photo of this headstone that I added in 2008 because there is a discrepancy with the original that you maintain. Perhaps my photo was of a different Sarah Cooper. The photo was taken at Union Baptist (Old Quaker).

RE: Washington College Cemetery
My photos are of the graveyard at washington college academy in Limestone Tennessee, my mother lives on the old campus right behind the graveyard and yes there are hundreds buried there. I may have just assumed that it was called Washington college graveyard but after review on google earth I see a sign called salem cemetery for the Salem Presbyterian Church that is close by......guess its a good lesson for me to never assume. Good Catch!! I am assuming you have already updated photos??
