Re: Henry E. Dyer/Oak Grove Cemetery
Hello Mike, I was adding some photos for Oak Grove Cemetery in DesMoines and it appears you created 2 memorials for Henry R. Dyer. You might want to check it out and delete one? Sincerely, Michaele

Oak Grove Cemetery
Mike, I see you have taken a lot of photos there. Did you walk the entire cemetery, what year did you do it? The older burials that have no photo is that because they do not exist? The cemetery records the city of Des Moines has does not match up with Find A Graves. I believe Find A Grave is more accurate than the city. I was going to go there sometime soon & see if I could find anymore headstones not pictured. Cindy

James Harcourt Payran
Hi Mike!
It looks like you are a very active Find A Grave supporter. Thanks for all you do for our community. I am a Payran researcher and I appreciate your posting of his obit. But I wonder if maybe he is linked to the wrong parents. Fanny died in 1908 before this James was born and she died at 71. I think maybe his mother was Sadie who was married to another James Harcourt Payran (1866-1929). There sure were a bunch of James Harcourt Payrans! Hard to keep them straight sometimes. Anyway, thought you might like to know.
Thanks,
Laura Grover

Joseph James Harcourt (1809-1882)
Hello Mike,
I am a GGG grandson of Joseph James Harcourt, who died in Clermont County OH in 1882. There is a McKendree cemetery in Clermont County about 4 miles down the road from JJ's farm. Other family members are reported as being buried there, including his father William and his second and third wives, Mary (Osgood) and Doretha (Pierce). I haven't independently confirmed these burials. I wonder why his body was interred in Miami County. Could this actually have been in Clermont County?

Alice Louise/Freda Shaw was my 2nd cousin twice removed, my great grandfather was Kossuth Napolion Shaw. He married Maude Vinson and they had Mary Shaw, who married Carl Jefferson Walker. They had my mother Maybelle Emeroy Walker who married Richard M. Leland, Jr., I was born 23 Jan 1946.

Trying to fill out my Shaw line.

Alfred F Block
Hi Mike,

There is an error on the find a grave site you manage for Alfred F. Block. Alfred does not exsist. It should be Albert F. Block. I created a page for Albert and I was wondering if you could move the pictures of the grave over to Albert's page. Albert was the commanding officer of the USS Chiwawa AO-68. My father served aboard this ship. The page for Alfred Block should be deleted.

Thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it.

Take care,
Jon Strupp
