I have Death Certificates for Abram and James Bird Farrand but cannot upload them because there are too many gavestone photos. Can you convince anyone to remove one of those photos from each memorial page?
thank you.

Rebecca Hill 126158921
Thought you might be interested in knowing I have added an obit for Rebecca Hill. According to the obit she is buried at the Dell Rapids Cemetery. There is no record of her in the sexton records.

Best of luck!

Payne family
Hello, I have a strange request. I noticed you placed several memorials of Payne family members in the Spring Valley cemetery. My Perkins family lived in Spring Valley in the 1800's coming from New York and are also buried in this cemetery. My question is... in several of the Minnesota territorial census' (1857 & 1860 to be exact) my Perkins family had a Hannah Payne living with them. Her approx birthdate was 1785 in New York and she must have died sometime after 1870. Could she be part of this family you posted on find a grave? I am skeptical that she is related to my family as the maiden name of my grandmother was Maxwell and not Payne.
I was a little excited to find a Hannah Payne connected to the Laura Ingalls Wilder line but quickly decided this was not the same Hannah. If you can shed some light I would appreciate your input.

Warren Rue Simbric/Flora Smith
I am researching the Edward Simbric/Clara Fuller descendants. I really appreciate the biog etc that you have posted with some of these families. They are very helpful to me. Clara Fuller is my 2nd cousin once rem'd. I did notice you mentioned in Flora Smith Simbric memorial 34676912 that she may have married in Waverly. I found a marriage record on that show her & Warren were married 19 Mar 1914 in Cook Co., IL. I thought you might be interested in that info. Again, thanks for all the good posts.

James Stamp Meriwether
Recently I was searching for my Grandfather's cemetery plot. I have never visited his grave since Alice had him moved from Key Stone Heights to Cocoa Beach Fl. I was very surprised of all the information that was on his site, all the way to my materinal grandmother. How are you related to Alice Meriwether? They were both a big part of our life when they live in Key Stone.
We visited them often. He was my mother's father.
Any information you can give me will be appreciated. I am planning on visiting his grave soon. I want to contact his other 3 grandchildren to see if they want to meet there also.

Phebe and Charlie Farnsworth
Were there other Farnsworths that lived in Plainfield? I can't remember just right, but did Phebe and Charlie live on a farm or out of Plainfield? I just remember it being so quiet there. It was wonderful seeing your pictures of them after such a long time. It's just interesting how certain people make such an impression when we are young.

Did you know that I had a great uncle who died in the house on Main Street. His name was Frank Griffith. He committed suicide, or so the story goes, in his mother's house in 1923. There was even an inquest, but I wonder about the result as he was trying to take everything away from his mother Florence Ketchum Griffith after Adam Patterson died with no will. Shortly after that the rest of the syblings and their moved to Waterloo, Iowa. I have the newspaper account and it's just interesting.

Farnsworth/Griffith Connection
I remember going from Waterloo to Plainfield with my parents when I was little to put flowers on graves at Willow Lawn. We always stopped for lunch at Phebe and Charlie Farnsworth's home. While the adults talked, I used to go outside and swing on their glider. I remember them being the nicest people.

My father was originally from Plainfield and had grown up there. He was the son of Joseph George Griffith Sr. who was raised in a house on Main Street.

I always looked forward to seeing Phebe and Charlie as she was a wonderful cook and they were both so kind. This would have been back in the late 1940s and early 50s.

John Singer
Thanks Dave...I really appreciate the information on my cousin and my Aunt Olive. As far as I know, they weren't Jewish, but they may have been. She also had a grandson, Johnny Singer, who I knew. My email address is and I would appreciate the Jewish record that you have a copy of.

David...Thanks so much for all the Obituaries and pictures you provided for all the Singers in Strawn Cemetery in Strawn, Illinois. My Great Aunt, Olive Bussard Singer, who was the second wife of Fred Singer, who I never met, was one of my favorite relatives, but I never really knew much about the family. If you know anything about my cousin, Johnny Singer who died in WWII, I would greatly appreciate any info you have. I believe he was Aunt Olive's son, but my mother didn't know much about him.
