When we started doing genealogy we wanted to find out the names of our grandpa & grandmas parents, from there we went all in, and let me tell you it is addicting. Always hoping to find something more about our family tree. Where they came from, where they lived and when they died. For all of us together we all share in one common thing, that our ancestors who all came from different lands made the choices that was a start of you and me.
Find A Grave is a great avenue to create a memorial for our loved ones from our family tree and a link to the relatives is really cool. Hope the next generation will visit the graves of ancestors with some flowers and a prayer. There is something special about being on that hollowed ground where our parents, grandparents & great grandparents once stood, weeping with a heavy heart. It is cool to know that in some cases I know for a fact that I am standing at the same grave that a certain person from our family tree, great grandma for example, stood in that same area of the cemetery 150 years ago.
Under each stone is a story to be told, about life, death, happiness and sorrow. They are gone but let them not be forgotten.

|Nancy Lane||Re: 46589464 and 93522640|
Look at these again because they're both for Isaac Lane (1869-1949), and both are in North Deerfield Cemetery. #46589464, created in 2010, is the original where your photos are needed. #93522640, created in 2012, is a duplicate. (I sent another SAC.)

You are very welcome. I didn't "flip" the stone to see if there is any writing on the other side, but I can if you'd like me to. I figure I need two more trips to the cemetery this fall before the weather changes in order to finish photographing the entire cemetery.
The tall monument is pretty difficult to read. There might be wording on Alanson there. I will definitely try to see if I can read anything on my next trip.
I really enjoy the old photos you have on some of your family memorials. On Harriet's memorial, my wide shot was put at the top. Please feel free to change the photo order so that it appears last.
I'll let you know if I find any more info about Alanson.
Thank you for the transfer. His mother Irene had a very special place in my family. Thanks for making the original posting! Best, Sonja

Thank you so much for the transfer! You have done a wonderful job on the Premo line & their memorials too! Did you see the pictures I added to some of them & their captions??
Thank you again, - Sherry
|Armstrong History||?Connection to Gokey?|
Hi - I was doing some research on another topic and came across a wonderful old photo titled, "The Indian Visitors at the Semi-Centennial". One of the people in this photo has the last name of "Gokey" and he is identified as the interpreter. He is pictured with several native Americans - including the grandson of Chief Oshkosh. If interested, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org so that I can send you the info.

Are you related to these families? They are my son's ancestors. ((I say my son because his father and I are divorced) He is a Betzinger and also descendant of "Queen" Marinette. The book Queen Marinette--Spirit of Survival was written by MY cousin Beverly Hayward Johnson. I am also into genealogy. Anyway, I just wanted to say what wonderful photos and articles you wrote for all these families! I am also a member of Find A Grave. By any chance do you live in the Menominee-Marinette area?

thank you so much for finding the resting place of my gg uncle and posting the photo. Would you happen to know if this cemetery has the burial cards, etc? I would love to contact someone and find the reason for his death at such a young age, and get permission to repair/replace his headstone.

Thank you for taking pictures of my 5X Great Grandfather! Your photo helped a lot. Everyone using ancestry.com had the wrong death date. Thanks again,
