|Jerry C Shaw||Shaw Family Tree|
I've noted that you have been providing valuable information for a number of my relatives through grave bios and photos.
I've been looking for the grave for William Shaw of Melrose, Clark County, Illinois DOB: abt 1820 DOD: abt 1853, and for his father and mother, James and Nancy Holt Shaw.
You noted the grave of William's wife, Sarah Sally Shaw in Medsker Cemetery on Findagrave but can't find William's. See http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=19591532&ref=acom
You've also documented the grave of my 1st cousin Paul Shaw and I was shocked that he might have been murdered.
Thank you for all your work.
please check your edits and Accept or Decline them. Thanks so much for your help. Just been waiting for the results for Calmar Cemetery.

|Dian Babcock ||Lydia Bellows Clark obituary|
Mrs. Lydia Clark was born at Wall Pool, Canada July 15th 1813 and died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Ann Harris, Cresco, Iowa, April 5th 1899 aged 85 years, 8 months and 20 days.
Miss Lydia Bellows was married to Elijah Clark at her home in Canada February 1833. To them were born ten children all of whom survive. In the Spring of 1839 they moved to Elgin, Illinois in the fall of 1851 emigrated to Dubuque County, Iowa from there to Looking Glass Prairie in the Spring of 1853 living there two years, when they settled on the old homestead in Freemont Township, Winneshiek county, where they lived until the death of the husband and father which occurred March 21, 1888 since then Mrs. Clark has lived with her children where she has had the tenderest care that loving hands could render.
She was one whose good works follow them in the grateful testimonies of those whom she nursed in sickness, comforted in sorrow and pacified in controversy, “Blessed as the peacemaker.” She was quiet and unpretending, going about doing good without display.
Her six daughters and four sons, respectable citizens, attest the careful training of a devoted mother who always felt that her highest duty was to bring up her children in the path of rectitude.—
They all settled near her and were all present at the funeral, except Mrs. Don Fifield, the others are Mesdames George Harris, William, Hammond, John Daskam, A. Back, H. Holcomb and John, Ralph, Bryon and William Clark.
Mrs. Clark and her husband lived and died in the faith of the Universalist church, and lived the life of Christians for the blessings it brought on earth as well as for the promise of blessings here after.
She suffered but three days in her last illness though she had been feeble for years, a sweet faced placid, uncomplaining woman fading quietly from earth to heaven.
Rev. Lane conducted the funeral services at the home of George Harris and she was buried beside her husband in the Kendallville cemetery.
