I live in Fort Worth. I'm interested in learning more about my family, but I would like to help others if I can. I travel to MS several times a year so I can visit cemeteries in MS or between TX and MS.

Ima Cox's mother
James - hi
Just wanted to let you know that on the Find A Grave site of the head stone for your grandparents you have Imas mother as Lora Emily Carr Cox (1883 - 1970) - this is incorrect - your grandmothers mother was Dora Elizabeth Smith 1890-1918. I tried to adjust but couldn't do it. Just thought you might like to know

RE: Is Rebecca's maiden name Hayes
Rebecca was adopted, I would have never thought of that. I say that because I have a picture of Becky and her sister Merancia. To me they could pass for twins, but you never know. My email is
Is the parents you listed for Becky also Merancia parents or was she adopted also?

Is Rebecca's maiden name Hayes
I am curious to find out if Rebecca Bratton and Merancia Hayes, who is also buried in this cemetery are sisters? Merancia Hayes is my 3rd great-grandmother. I have been trying to find her family.

My grandmother married a Bratton
Hi James. My grandmother married a Bratton but I don't know his first name, perhaps you have info on your tree where she fits in. Her maiden name was Dessie Ann Humphreys (71253565). Family members told me the Bratton man she married died while mowing his yard and that it devastated her. He died between 1968-1969, as she was listed as widowed on her death certificate. Any info is truly appreciated! Thank you, Michelle

James - I noticed that on your memorial you cited that subject grave may be unmarked. How were you able to verify that he is buried in the cemetery listed in your memorial. Mark

This is a little late I know, but thank you so much for your photo of the Tramel grave. Your time and effort is much appreciated and helps with my research very much. Thanks again!

Rebecca has been transferred. I've been looking for someone familiar with the Bratton family in Lafayette County. Particularly the ones in Webb Cemetery. I've been able to make a connection to everyone that is buried there, except the Brattons. None of my family there married Bratton as far as I know. However my stepdaughter married Donald Bratton III of Ocean Springs MS. Do you have any information on Donald I or II? BTW there is now a Donald Bratton IV, born on Christmas Day 2009.
