I have been the family historian for my family since about 1992. I love the challenge of finding and adding missing ancestors to my family data file. Hardly a day goes by that I don't work on genealogy in some capacity. |
One of my biggest family mysteries is one of my Great Grandfathers, Francis Marion Robinson. He was born abt 1837 in Tennessee. He married Mary Jane Patton 09 Sep 1868 in Pope County, Arkansas. They had two daughters, Samantha A (Born abt 1868) and Mary Elizabeth (Born 07 Jan 1870). I have never been able to find the parents for Francis Marion. If anyone has any info on him please please pass it to me. I am also trying to find where Francis and his wife, Mary Jane are buried. I am hoping one day the info for Francis and Mary Jane will surface at FindaGrave.
In addition to my own family genealogy I am interested in adding memorials to FindaGrave.
I have photographed tombstones in Cemeteries in Marion County,and Linn County,Oregon.
I thought this would be a good way to "pass forward" all the wonderful help I have received from others while working on my own family research.
If you want me to make any changes on a memorial, please go to the memorial and click on the edit button,Please and Thanks you.

My goodness, such prompt transfers on the Volz family. You must have been opening your edits as I typed them in. A great big thanks. Also for the tombstone pictures attached. I am trying to do the same in Missouri. Keep up the good work.

I don't have any information other than what I've posted. I live in Arkansas, but work in Mississippi a great many months of the year. So, when I'm in the vicinity of the graveyards you are inquiring about, I usually spend an afternoon "indexing" cemeteries and filling Find-a-Grave photo requests. However, a local area person named Mavis Clemmer will probably have all the answers you're looking for. Her Find A Grave ID# is 47091146. I've also taken the liberty of listing the web page on Find A Grave where you can go directly to her contributor profile. The web link is: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=mr&MRid=47091146. Ms. Clemmer is very knowledgeable about the cemeteries in her area and would be more than willing to help, I'm sure.
I wish you luck in your endeavors and research.

You are so welcome for the information. I love the fact that Find A Grave is like a big puzzle that lots of us work on together. Thanks for adding the info.

Hello, you seem to be doing a wonder job w/ findagrave. I was wondering if you would transfer "Addie L. Lucier" #32037895 to me so I can link her husband and his ancestors? I'm working on my sister-in-law's line.
|Tracy Cornell||RE: Thomas J Beal|
Thank you for transferring my grandfathers' memorial to me and I appreciate you taking another look for his marker. I believe his son Gilbert F. Beal (who is also buried in the same cemetery) purchased the lot on the same day as Thomas' death. Im not sure if they are buried near each other or not.
|Bill Feller||Paul Fehlen|
in the memorial for Paul Fehlen, # 43998764, you thanked Methuria for the extra bio info. Do you know if Methuria is related to the Fehlen family? I have a family tree which shows how I am related. Also, there are lots of Forrettes in the same cemetery who are also related. Likewise there were lots of Fellers in Marion Co. who I would be related to. These are all distant cousins, so I am hoping for some history how they all immigrated to that area.
