Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have lived in Vermont since 1983, but grew up in Illinois. I have been interested in genealogy only for a few years, but appreciate those who are willing to share what they can so that others can piece together their family history. I have a book on the research I did on my McCormick/Wilson/Job/Drennan line "Searching for Isum" available at Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.

RE: Cooper Cemetery
Glad I could help! I so wish there were headstones or markers, but at least the people that have owned the farmland over the years have kept the chart and make it available to those who stop. I was so excited to find it!

Could you please correct her middle name. You have it as Belle. However on both her son's Arthur and her death records it is listed as Ida Jane. Thank you!

RE: Thanks for the Samuel Vail picture
Several months ago you requested photos of Samuel and Mary Vail from Greenlawn Cemetery in Milford Ohio. I ran across some photos on the Clermont County Genealogical Society website. They are listed under "cemeteries" and "pictures sent from users". Link is below

When I got your note I checked the Longmont Ledger Index and found his name. His obit was in the paper on 19 Aug 1930. I usually got to the library on Friday but I'm not sure if I have time this week. I put his name on my list so the next time I get there I will get his obit for you.

Hi--no, I am not related. I just added the Linn County death certifcates. Taking digital images of the Linn DCs was my project. All of the Linn DCs can be seen at the Linn Gen Society web site http://www.lgsoregon.org/ Don't know if you need any others. I hope that was the right DC for that memorial. I wasn't sure when I added it. Let me know if I can look anything else up for you. Diana

Per the cemetery there is a military marker with no dates. I generally go to the cemetery on Sunday to take photos, so I'll have it posted next week.

Greenlawn Cemetery photo request
I would be please to fulfill your photo request for Samuel Vail if you can call the cemetery office and get the section number of the grave. Sunday is the only day of the week I can go and the office is not open at that time.

RE: Joseph D. McCormick
You are so welcome. In case you wondered, it's a nice, quiet place on the banks of the Des Moines, very rural. You can see the river clearly.
