My motto; "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, a glass of Merlot in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"
Hello everyone. I was born and raised in San Diego, CA, and lived there from 1947 to 1983. Since that time I've lived in; Arizona, Oregon, Washington (east & west), Montana and now we are in Pennsylvania.
During my travels I developed a love for old grave stones and epitaphs. I began making grave stone rubbings of famous graves in 1999. This is a very good way to see more detail on some of the very old stones, and they make a beautiful family heirloom. I highly recommend doing this.
I developed and run a huge recipe site. It's called Our Family & Friends Favorite Recipes, and a link to it is on this page. If you love to cook, come over for a visit.
I was a professional photographer, and part time photo judge for San Diego's Photo's in the Park. I use a digital most of the time now, and what I can't control with that format, I correct using Paint Shop Pro software. One of my favorite past times is creating memorial pictures for the families of the 'recently passed'. I am also a retired nurse, and artist.
After discovering Find A Grave, I'm very excited about being a volunteer photographer here in Pennsylvania. | |

 | Duplicate memorials for Caroline Burnett Rothery Hello - please note you have created 2 memorials for the same individual in the same cemetery. One of them should be deleted. Since you are the creator of both, you can decide which one to delete. - Thank you.

 | Hartzell Karen Hess is correct. Georgianna Thomas Hartzell 36651767 and her husband Charles Franklin Hartzell are buried in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in New Oxford, PA. This cemetery is commonly known as The Pines. Betty Gompf Nordwall | | | Karen Hess
 | Georgianna Thomas Hartzell Hello, I'm believe this is a duplicate memorial in the wrong cemetery. You have created memorial# 14559580 in Pine Bank Cemetery, Gettysburg and another memorial for likely the same person (#36651767) was created in Saint Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery (The Pines), New Oxford. According to the November 14, 1927 edition of the Gettysburg Times, it should be the cemetery in New Chester (which is nearby to New Oxford). But your memorial contains more information and was created first, so after you correct the cemetery, contact the owner of the other memorial to have the duplicate deleted. Thanks! | | | Jeanne I.
 | St Lukes Hi Garnette
I visited St Lukes Cemetery, Beacon today. There are many Rotherey graves but not successful at finding yours YET! I took pictures of three of them - I dont know if they are related to you but if you want those pics I can send them along.
