It looks like the cemetery is about three months behind with placing the permanent markers. Please request another photo in the fall and I will be glad to go back.
The Jones you are working are they from Missouri ? There a few them in southeast Michigan. Phil Larkin

Pat/Frances, It was an honor to do this for you both and Arthur. I would have taken Lee's, but another person had claimed it. I visited with Arthur, pulled the grass from around his marker, swept it off and thanked him for his service. Afterwards, I took the photo and gave him a parting salute and left a penny on his marker. Have a wonderful journey and I hope Lee's is posted for you very soon. Allen

Hello Pat & Frances,
I have a picture of two of my 2nd Great Grandfather's (William Rufus Jones) brothers and a nephew. William was in the 62nd NC Infantry Co. H.
I do not know their names, all I know is the picture was taken in Jackson Co. I would be happy to share photo if someone can help identify these men. One is wearing a Confederate Cross on his coat.
Can anyone tell me if my grandfather, William Rufus Jones is a son of Richard Henry Jones? Leonard Jones a son of Richard Jones was also in the 62nd NC Co. H with William.
My email address is email@example.com and I will share the picture if anyone wants a copy.
My family lines include Jones, Allison and Bryson from the Western NC Counties.
Thanks for any help.

My line- Augustus>Clifford>Rufus>Bertie Ella>Carl Sheppard>Me. Looks like we're at least cousins! I also have a tree on Ancestry with the Galloways.

Glad you solved the mystery. You make a good sleuth.
John got a fairly good report, considering his being a diabetic, he tries, and that is about all anyone can do.
Have a great evening.

I'm so happy I was able to do that. That's my reward and why I do what I do. God bless you.
|Lorraine Lambert||RE: Hezekiah and Jane Drake|
Thanks, Steve had just transferred Hezekiah to me, and I hadn't connected to his parents, so I thank you.
We were blessed yesterday, but Indianapolis wasn't as lucky, with tornado hitting their area.
