Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am the county coordinator for the Armstrong and Rusk Co pages of the TXGenWeb and have made cemetery catalogs my hobby. Cemeteries fascinate me and I am still seeking burial sites for several of my "grands" but did get to add a stone to a great grandmother's grave a few years ago. I started researching my own family about 20 years ago but have slowed down due to my participation in Internet genealogy sites.
You're more than welcome to use my photos in your family research but please don't take them for other sites without giving me credit.
My other passion is my Irish wolfhounds.

RE: Ellyon Shaw
Hello Ms Gale

I hag to thank you, because just recently I have made the decision to relocate to Texas. I didn't really get to know my father's family very well. So, how would I ever get to see the grave site if I move there. Just by typing my dad's name on google the website popped up and I was able to see the information. So, now I will know where to go just in case I am unable to contact any family members. I, at least now know where my dad is located.

GOD BLESS YOU and peace to you and your family foe the good works that you do.

Ms Gale

I would like to thank you for your passion, I was unable to attend my fathers funeral. I know very little about him or his family. But with the this site I ran into surfing the internet I was able to see my father's grave site after all these years. So thank you with all my heart.

RE: Caldora Cruse Inmann
Gina,

I'm sorry for any confusion. I knew Caldora very well. She and my grandmother, Cora weren't just sisters but the best of friends as well. Caldora spent 2 years in my family's home caring for Cora until she was moved to a nursing home. Sadly, Caldora died soon after. My grandmother had a much better life for the love of Caldora.

Unfortunately, I never heard very much about her biological father other than he died when she was young and Coleman Atkins raised her as his own. I have recently been contacted by one of her great granddaughter on ancestry.com by the name of Kellie Inmon. I provided her with all of the info that I have and helped her research the Cruce/Cruse/Cruze family line. The name is spelled differently on almost every census.

I recently came across an inventory of documents from a family bible held by the Griffin family, Caldora's father's mother's line. Douglass William Cruse (1875-1892)was the son of Caldora Griffin and unknown Cruse. I am still trying to confirm dates because Caldora wasn't born until 1904 by my records, however, records may be faulty. Barzilla Curry Griffin had many children including one named Caldora that disappears from records. Barzilla's son Williamson named his daughter Caldora. This Caldora was D W Cruse's mother.

I will ask Cousin Frances in Mart, Texas if she knows anything more on the Cruse story. Her other was Coleman's sister.

I'm happy to help more if I can.

Be blessed,

Virginia

Caldora Cruse Inmann
Thank you for the reminder.

I took the time to look for a memorial for Aunt Caldora's biological father and after locating it made the edit.
Please tell me, did you know or are you related to my great aunt?

Thanks again,

Virginia

RE: James H Griffith
Thanks Gina. Thought for a while he was my great uncle, until I went to the cemetery and saw the name on the cross. Appreciate the update. Oh well, back to the search!

I am descendant of Hankerson Ashby. You list him as a sibling of Eleanor Pemberton. While I believe this is true I am having trouble proving it. Where did you get your information.
