Dear relations do not weep
I am not dead but yet do sleep
And here my body shall remain
Until we all shall meet again

Charles Uppercue
Doing research and as always I seem to get off track. Above Charles b. 29 Jun 1822 MD, I found
obit Wash Post 1877-1954 listed Charles Uppercue died 1 Apr 1894, 72 yrs, lived 413 Q St. NW, DC.
Loudon Park Crematory, Balti. MD. Looking at Loudon Park Cemetery #115585863 it is matching with info I have Rosanna (spouse) and daughter Geraldine. Also, George A and Sarah "Sadie" his other children. I thought he was cremated but I guess not. We can't always trust what we read.

Thanks Pat

This memorial is in two cemeteries and very rightly so. It is a cenotaph, meaning a memorial marker placed in his honor in snother location.
Cenotaphs are acceptable by site standards. We have to whole cemeteries which contain no body. Please refer to guidrlines regarding cenotaphs.

RE: Elizabeth Dorn edit
Thanks Ron but since they both differ and we don't know which one is correct then I'd rather not add it. I'll leave the note with her age as it is. Thanks so much for checking. Jane

Hi Ron, do you have a source for the birth year you sent me for Elizabeth Dorn or was that from doing the math between her death year and age? Thanks, Jane.

Herman Otto Ehrlich
Thanks, Ron.

In the meantime, I found the Ehrlchs in the 1890 Baltimore city directory. There's Herman O., Fredrick, John F., Otto, and Walter all living at 826 Baker Ct.

Thanks for Otto's info and the picture of his grave. I wonder if anyone knows what actually happened to Herman Otto and his wife Susan (Clickner's parents)?

And why did Clickner and his wife choose to be buried in Loudon? Their grave area also shows markers for Daddy and Mom - Clickner's parents perhaps? Guess we'll have to call the cemetery to see whose graves those are. Georgia

I have connected this lady with the person I believe is her husband. Can you check with that cemetery and find out if he paid for the burial plot, etc.

Also, I wonder if he could be buried there too, perhaps without a tombstone???
