I am interested in researching JETT/GARRISON families mainly in Iowa/Tennessee/Kentucky/Oklahoma/Missouri/Arkansas/Texas and Virginia and GORVIN/ORGAN/MURPHY families|
I WOULD BE HAPPY TO TRANSFER ANY MEMORIAL! Just ask
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

|Linda Reppert||RE: Sarah Bloom|
Hello Bobby Jett, i am just now perusing Find a Grave on family.
My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sarah Wise Bloom was my great grandmother.
Married to Moses Bloom, Mayor of Iowa City, and owned several businesses, including a haberdashery located downtown on Clinton Street.
I have spent hours building my Ancestry tree (s)
and in addition Sarah's daughter Myra Bloom Sheuerman was my grandmother, married to Jacob L.
Sheuerman and lived in Des Moines, the family Sheuerman owned The Capital Woolen Mill in Des Moines. Please tell your friend i would be most happy to answer any questions.
Thanks Bobby. I have been to Sarah and Jacob's Graves in Emanuel Cemetery in Des Moines, Ia and my Grand Aunt aka (Great) Blanche is buried with her sister Myra, my grandmother and my grandfather Jacob Leopold Sheuerman.
Best is sent to you from Texas. Thank you, Linda Joan Reppert Koplan Reppert.

Hello Bobby, just now checking my emails.
How can i help you?
I have had my nose buried in ancestry.com since last Friday. More and more information is being
found and posted on the site.
Linda Joan Reppert, great grand of Sarah Wise Bloom, married to Moses Bloom of Iowa City, Ia.
Sarah is buried in The Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. She was the second wife of Moses Bloom, her sister was married to Moses and died shortly after the birth of their last child. So Moses married her sister. Both sisters were from Cincinnati, Ohio. Sarah Wise Bloom was the birth mother of my grandmother, Myra Bloom Sheuerman.
|Amanda Jett||Please correct|
You have Robert Jiles Jett and John Bell Jett listed as Talicia's children and they aren't her child they are the children of Martha Vaughn Jett. Thank you

This is my Grandfather. The marker is for his first wife, who died. He is actually buried at "Hendricks Cemetery" beside his second wife, my Grandmother.

There are two postings for her, one of which has your wonderful photograph of the tombstone. (#58179424 and #92267279) I was hoping that you could post your photograph to #58179424 that doesn't have the photo so that I can combine without losing information.
I appreciate so much the transfer, but I didn't realize that she was posted there under her tombstone name of Betsey Fry.
Thank you for all your work. Sorry this is so convoluted. Lisa

I found that I had already posted a site, and now have a problem. One has children attached, and the other has your wonderful photo. Could I get you to add the photo to the one with the children? I am asking you to do so much, but I want you to keep the credit for the photo. Thank you for the transfer. I am working on the Fry family with another family connecting children with their parents. |Connie Lee||RE: Freddy Jett|
I am not sure. My theory is he is the son of Tolbert and Louisa Jett, although I have found no records of him. Here's why I think that:
His gravestone is located among other close family members on the east side of the cemetery - this is where they buried 4 other sons and at least one grandson.
His stone is hand carved in the same style as the "Infant Jett son of JT Jett" gravestone nearby - JT stands for James Tolbert Jett
In the 1990 census, Louisa reports that she has had 9 children of whom 6 are still living. I only know of 8. John and the Infant Jett had died already. Andy, Lillie, Jim, Sephie, Wes and Harv were still alive. So there is one more unaccounted for that would have died by 1900. I think that might be Freddy.
