BE KIND TO ONE ANOTHER, WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES. AND THIS IS A HOBBY, SOME OF US HAVE REAL JOBS.|
I NEED YOUR HELP: Check out the virtual cemetery on the right. Maybe you can help finding these folks' final resting places.
Born in Germany in the 60's and growing up in Berlin and Munich, I started my own genealogy in the 70's, then did my High School and College thing in the 80's, and came to the US in the 90's. Now I am taking pictures for fun and business. Some of the photos I post are digitally enhanced, so the lettering on older grave markers is easier to read. The information on FINDAGRAVE is provided by thousands of volunteers. Please let's not forget we are all volunteers. I take exception with those volunteers who say their photos are copyrighted. Why take photos if you're not going to share them with everyone? My photos are free to anyone who wants to copy them for non-profit purposes, no need to ask. A credit to FINDAGRAVE would be nice. After all, they are just photos of grave markers, not the Mona Lisa!
If you find errors on any of my submitted items, please be so kind and let me know so I can correct those. It's important for all of us hobby-family-researchers and historians to remain accurate in the data we publish. Always glad to transfer memorials following the FaG's guidelines. Just send me a SAC.
When researching European names, pay specific attention to the spelling, especially when uncommon letters are involved. In German there are those "Umlaute": Ä, Ö, Ü, ä, ö, ü.
Do not assume that Schäfer and Schaefer are the same. And Boeck is not the same as Böck.
Search for European Nobility with and without prefix, e.g. Friedrich von Bayern or Friedrich Bayern. Frederick of Bavaria or Frederick Bavaria. For Dutch names with the "van" search with and without space: "VanAusten" and "Van Austen".
I welcome every message left for me, but will delete them after I read and acted upon them. I like my member page "clutter-free", I am German after all. Giggle.

|Sharon||Catherine George & Santa Kingsbury|
About Santa Kingsbury from your virtual cemetery, I'm almost positive she is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Syracuse or in Riverview in Baldwinsville, N.Y. Your information states you're working in Woodlawn now and perhaps you'll find her soon. If you don't find her, please leave me a message and I will check with my cousin, her widower, to find out where she is.
You posted information about Catherine George who is buried in St. Anne Cemetery in Colosse, New York. I recently found her listed on interment.net with the inscription on her stone noted as "George, Catherine, d. 1908, age: 76y, w/o Nicholas d/o John & Mary Heep Fellows".
I believe her parent's names may be incorrect. Her father's name may be John or Jacob and her mother's name may be Mary Hess Fellows. I am now located in Maine and won't be home to Oswego county for some time. Do you have a photo of Catherine's gravestone? If not, will you be in the Colosse area and able to check the inscription?
I would so appreciate any information you can provide me about Catherine. I believe she's in my lineage and am working to prove it.
Thank you so much!
