Bio and Links
Bio Photo I love this site! I love finding relatives, finding relatives of relatives, etc. I get immense satisfaction finding maiden names and family links. I will always try to help others in their quest for family information. If I have added a memorial for one of your relatives, please feel free to send me a note and I will transfer it to you, or update it with more information as you wish.

For all of you volunteer photo takers out there - we owe you a big round of applause for all of the hard work that you do! In return, please use any of my photos freely on any of your family tree sites.

I do ask permission to use photos on my own family tree, giving full credit to the photographer, so I really wish a certain FAGer would stop posting silly and ridiculous error messages on my photo requests - GET A LIFE!

I will post obits on memorials with proper citation. I know some people feel that this info is "private" or "personal" but.... it was PUBLISHED IN THE PAPER FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE. 99% of the time this info is invaluable to genealogists. I have had cemeteries tell me they are private property and those interred there want privacy. If someone truly wants privacy, get cremated and scattered over the ocean, don't put up a huge headstone with your name & dates in flashing lights...... It is like having a huge billboard up on a highway and you are asked not to look at it or read it........SILLY. Taken from Rita Botkin Bomher (#47319873)

Everyone.....please always view your profile page and click on the new edit tab - this is so very important and a much more simplified way of handling SACs.

RE: Arthur Landon - Hazelwood Cem
Hi again- Just to let you know, the office has given me a map to show where John Landon is supposed to be buried. They think it is an unmarked grave, but they have told me who is beside him & across from him, so I should be able to locate the plot, whether it is marked or not.
I'll try to get there next week.

RE: Arthur Landon - Hazelwood Cem
She said it was at Aberdeen Cemetery, in Abbotsford. I have emailed her back to see if she is able to narrow down the section he'd be in & I can just go look for him. The cemetery is quite large, so it would be good if we could narrow it down a little.

I was also looking for a Peter Egelund & had the plot number. Her records said it was Frederick Egelund. But when I went to the grave, it was indeed Peter. So their records could be incorrect.
It's worth a try.

Oh, sorry. No, I meant the John that I mentioned in my reply. The woman at Hazelwood found a John Landon buried at another cemetery in Abbotsford- Aberdeen. He was buried Mar 11, 1922. The date is so close to when Arthur died, so she wondered if he was the guy I was looking for.. perhaps with an incorrect name? She said it looks like there is no marker on John Landon's grave.

Wow! So, Arthur & his Dad died at the same time? That's something..

Do you have any further info? Plot # or anything. The woman I contacted said she could see records that Arthur Wellington Landon was supposedly buried at Hazelwood, but there was no plot number or anything, so she thought he wasn't there.

Then she found John Landon who died about the dame time, buried in Aberdeen & thought perhaps that was him.

If you have any further info, I'd be happy to try again.

It wasnt' hard to find, but the bush had thorns on it so I had trouble clearing the branches to get a good picture. If it isn't readable I will take back my clippers. Let me know
