Jesse Goins was my 86 year old grandpa's great-grandpa...I was wondering if I could have your permission to put this photo you took on my ancestry page?

Thank you,
Angie Goins

Dear David,
You left me a note requesting that I link a record for Margaret Hooker to her father, John -- but I don't have a Margaret Hooker among my records. I do have a Florence Hooker, though. Is she John's daughter?
Looking forward to clarifying,
Sarah

Photo Request
You have requested a photo for Johann 1796-1851 and Catherine 1795-1854 Doppstadt at the Shanksville Cemetery.

I found only a single stone, marked Jacob 1796-1851 and Catharine 1794-1852 DUPPSTADT

I can send you the photo and you can decide what to do. It appears to me that a NEW stone was made and laced on the old 'plate' at the head of the graves. It is dramatically different and newer than any other stones of 1850's graves and among a few at the cemetery this legible. It looks nearly new, in fact.

Duppstadts are all around the area and it would not surprise me that someone did the best they could getting info from an old stone...

Johann Duppstadt Children
David,

Johann Duppstadt also had a daughter, Catherine, born 09 OCT 1841, died 12 JAN 1859. She was married to my great grandfather, Lewis Whisker, and possibly had a child to him, named Lidia, in 1857. Catherine is supposed to be buried in Walker Cemetery in Shanksville, PA.

After her death in 1859, Lewis married Mary Wagner and had several children by her. Lidia only shows up in a 1870 census, living with a David and Mary Rodgers as a "domestic servant", but does not appear on the 1860 census for Somerset County anywhere that I've found. What happened to her is a bit of a mystery. I've been unable to find any other reference to her, except for vague memories of the name by some older family members.

RE: Duplicate Listing
I have complied with your request. It was a shame to lose the touching and loving tribute to Mrs. Hooker. I hope you saved it and add it to your memorial for her. She was very well thought of in her community.

Lineville
Thanks David and no there is no Lineville cemetery in Wayne county Iowa.

There is Evergreen in Lineville, Wayne Co. Iowa and
there is South Lineville cemetery, Mercer county, Missouri.

I have also contacted findagrave about getting the wrong cemetery removed.

Hooker family
You have a photograph for Jeremiah Hooker - do you have a list of his siblings/parents etc;? I have been trying to find a John B. Booker that was born dec 12 1809 in Kentucky (if my information is correct).

My great grandmother was Eliza Lavinia Hooker
she married my great-grandfather David Wesley Finch

Thanks for any information.

Schrock Cemetery, Reger, MO
David, I was wondering if you know who takes care of Schrock Cemetery? I have some family buried there but have been unable to locate them. I have the newspaper clippings of the death in 1899 but cannot find out who the undertakers were at that time or if there are any records whatsoever for Schrock Cemetery or the Methodist Church in Reger. Do you have any thoughts on how I might find out any of this information? I truly appreciate any ideas you may have. Thank you David. Kerry Albertson, albykats@gmail.com.
