Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been recording genealogy and family histories for approximately 40 years. This has always been an interest of mine--since childhood. I live on a piece of the old farm where I was born and my family has owned for generations. Several lines of my ancestors have been in this area of Southeast Georgia for over 200 years. I am a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy, both of which I am very proud.

I have been a member of Find A Grave for much longer than stated above. I was unable to access my old account and had to start anew. I've always enjoyed visiting old cemeteries, as well as old houses.

My husband, Larry, and I have published two pictorial history books: "Treutlen County, Georgia" in 2008 and "Montgomery County, Georgia" in 2010. These books can be purchased online at Arcadia Publishing Co. We enjoyed visiting people in these counties who invited us into their homes and allowed us to scan their precious family photographs.

N O T E:
Anything I post, photos or memorial biographies, may be copied and used for personal use as long as you give me credit, just as I personally do if I can find the source.

I welcome corrections and additions to my posts and will respond to all messages. This site is a wonderful tool, but it is only effective if those who post memorials will strive to place them in the correct cemeteries and will continue to maintain them.

Are you kin to these people? If so I would love to share information with you. I would like to know if you know the names of the children in the photo? These are my great-grand parents, my grand father's name is Jessie Moore. He passed when I was very young and unfortunately my mother suffers from dementia and I am only able to get very little from her. I do however, have copies if birth and death certificates on my grandfather showing these names.I also have obits showing his sister as Mrs Fred (Rosa Ella) Boatwright or Boatright and brother as Clinton Moore and sister Carey Averett. (my name is Ken, I share this site with my wife Charlotte)
Thank you for all the hard work you do for Find A Grave and the families out there looking for loved ones.

Margaret Beasley
I research the Beasley family as they are relations of mine. If someone has more than one surname due to multiple marriages, I've found it helpful when other Find A Grave memorials have listed the surnames; thus, the surnames are listed for Margaret Beasley. If you would like to manage the memorial, please do submit the request and I'll transfer the management to you.

I corrected the memorial you requested. After a little local research, I've found that the inscription Charlie & Johnnie Mae Connell Baby refers to the parents. Thank you!

If I am correct in all of my searching - this man was my 4th Great Grandfather. Thank you for the information. I have been doing this for about 5 years, so far, I am hooked on it. It's absolutely wonderful. And what's weird - while I never met them, I feel a strong connection in reading about their lives, and who they were - just as if I did have them in my life. Good feelings!
