My name is Judy Bearman and I live where the Columbia river meets the Pacific Ocean. Its a beautiful place to live. I've been doing Genealogy since I was 20 years old, and that was a long time ago. I love learning about who I am, who I descended from, and where they lived. Right now I've taken on the job of photographing the Ocean View Cemetery, governed by Astoria and located on the edge of a lake in Warrenton, Oregon. My husband and I spend many hours at the cemetery. He goes ahead of me, sweeping the goose, elk and deer poop and other things from the stones, and I follow along photographing. I would love to photograph each stone in its pristine condition, but time and mother nature just won't allow that. The Lichen and other growth win some stones.|
Enjoy my photos, and if you see something that should be changed, let me know.
PS: Ocean View Cemetery of Astoria, Oregon is working on a website. The current version is usable at http://maps.cemetery.astoria.or.us/applications/

Thank you very much for the photos of the Lidberg headstones. It is really appreciated.

Wow! Thanks for the quick response for the photo of Eliza Hustler. She was born in Chillicothe Illinois. She came to Astoria, Oregon in 1847 and died there in 1935 at 101 years old. I think she is buried next to her granddaughter, Stella Glendinning.

Sorry, I am new at this.
Friedel Sharp, Memorial# 160440071; and his wife (same headstone), (Emma) Irene Sharp, Memorial # 160440072.
Thank you, Susie

I am Uncle Del's grand-niece through his brother Charles Eugene Sharp. I am trying to gather the children of Wm H and Augusta Caroline BASSETT Sharp under family management. If you would be so kind as to transfer him and his wife, Emma Irene HODGIS (1868–1936).
Thank you and for all you do for those of us with far-flung relatives.

I'm interested in this grave and wondering if the person buried with him could be Marie Murphy 1875 - 1946.
If you could help me in anyway it would be great.

Thank you Judy, and all the best to you and your husband. S

Hi Judy, I was at my wits end trying to figure out where Johanna was buried, until you created her memorial, and then it just magically appeared on ancestry, thank you. She was my 1st cousin, 1X removed and my Grandfathers niece.I have little information about her, but I can connect at least a few dots. After her husband Nikola died, she moved to Roseville Ca. which is where she passed and then her sister brought her back to be laid to rest with her husband. Could you transfer management over to me as her relative, so I can add to her bio and hopefully, find additional information as time goes on. Thank you, Scott
