I have been working on my family genealogy since approx. 2001, and I became a "junkie" very quickly. I live in the Seattle area where my family has lived for over 6 generations, coming primarily from Ohio and Florida.
I have been working with my Aunt Sharon ("sharon") since 2005, adding our shared genealogy to findagrave from my husbands side of the family, adding all the information under her membership (#46795073). We have connected with so many generous volunteers all over the United States who have located and photographed family headstones for us. We both try to return the favor when ever we are asked to, and are so grateful to findagrave for this service, which has added so much to our research. We never would have been able to accomplish so much without findagrave, and the generous volunteers that are members.
I am researching: Smith, Ristine, Kipp, Ingersoll, Cunningham, Bishop, Bean, Moose, Kivett, Platt and Golnick, as well as many other branches of these names. I have been blessed to have connected to many members of my family, who have been working on genealogy much longer than I have, and have been so generous to share their hard work with me, which has given me a great base to build upon.
Most of my entries are relatives. If you are too, I would love to hear from you and compare notes. Please include "findagrave" in subject line with any correspondence.
RE: Carolina Memorial There is a memorial for Brison but I didn't create that one or the ones for Eugene and Edith...the creators names are listed on those.... I did one for Kenneth. I will be glad to add any information on Kenneth you would like to send.
RE: Carolina Memorial You are very welcome. I also got photos of the markers for Kenneth and Brison...they are right there.. I created a page for Kenneth...there is one for a Brison Folkes but I was not sure it was the same person. Do you by chance know? If it is I will upload the photo.
RE: Gethsemane Memorial Park It was a pleasure. You did your part with providing Section and Lot. That made the photos possible as quickly as possible since I have maps of this large cemetery. The markers were very dirty. Cleaned them up as best I could with broom and water. Graves are in a nice location near the Christus statue. Barb
RE: Gilmore Memorial Park Hi - we went back to Gilmore Memorial Park yesterday to photograph Johnnie Buford Wright's marker. However, the plaque with his name and dates has not been installed yet - I went ahead and took a photo of the entire marker and will put on both his and his wife's memorials. But I will make a note to myself to recheck in a few months to see if his marker is complete. Sorry it took so long to get back down there!
