Please be a contributor to Findagrave and not just a memorial manager of someone else's work. It's funny that people write all they have is what's posted on a memorial. Well folks - if you took the time and researched you WOULD find information to post & link family. Believe me, it's NOT that hard! In others words you ARE a manager and NOT a contributor.

NOTE ON YAHOO.COM & GMAIL.COM EMAIL (Updated 22 Apr 2014): If you have a or email ID, you can request headstone photos but NO ONE will receive your request! I have had almost 75 rejected emails in my SPAM folder in the past couple of days! Just requested a photo on 21 Apr using my ID and got 31 rejected msgs in my SPAM folder...all have a yahoo or gmail ID. I change my email from to when I want to request a headstone photo.

I and relatives I know constantly scour records and family records IN OUR POSSESSION. What is added is what we have checked and double checked. When we find documents that are exceptionally interesting and realize other relatives haven't had access to this information--we post it to their memorials.

There are some people, and you know who you are, that follow 'guide lines' in transferring memorials. You must be a numbers person! And for those people who criticize the photos posted and appear to be strickly a numbers person - SHAME ON YOU TOO and are a PITA!! If they aren't your relatives, why should you care. So, as the saying goes, 'if the shoe fits, wear it'.

Additionally, If you are one of those folks who disables your messages and has no email address listed, in other words, NO WAY TO CONTACT, I will in all likelihood ignore your message to me. Nothing personal, but sometimes I need to confirm things. If I cannot communicate with you one way or another and you cannot be bothered, that is fine I understand.

I am a retired Federal Law Enforcement Officer, with over 28 years of federal civil service. To keep myself busy, I became a navigator/logistics specialist on my husband's rig. I am also the proud wife of a retired Army soldier and the very proud mother of a soldier, who was injured by an IED explosion and completed his tour of duty in Iraq.

It's the soldier, not the reporter who has given us Freedom of the Press. It's the soldier, not the poet, who has given us Freedom of Speech. It's the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the Freedom to Demonstrate. It's the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the Right to a Fair Trial. It's the soldier who salutes the flag, serves under the flag and whose coffin is draped by the flag. ~Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC~~GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!

If there are memorials I have created or maintain who are your family members, please send me a message and I will be more than happy to transfer them to you-no matter your blood generation; EXCEPT, IF THEY ARE IN MY FAMILY TREE, MY HUSBAND'S FAMILY OR MY ADOPTED MOM'S FAMILY, then I will maintain the memorial(s).

NEW 21 Mar 2014: Now you can see siblings on a person's memorial if siblings have been added on Findagrave. This info is NOT being merged from (I verified my own grandfather's memorial.)

The photos I post on Findagrave and may be used by one and all at any time, although no money is to be made from my photographs. Photo credit would be appreciated! This is a site for all to cherish for future generations with headstone photos of distant relatives never known and now, never to be forgotten.

RE: Salopek
Thank you!
We have struggled to find his immediate family other than my grandfather who was his nephew. Amazing how we came to be established in the Southwest. Most settled in PA and worked the coal mines.
Thanks again for your help.

Thanks Cousin
Got some work down tonight. Did over 50 corrections and links. Plus have recently foud a "lost" part of my family. A member of the family gave me the pictures and I was able to add to Find A Grave. Real friendly.
A good day for th e most part.
I'm on disability. On Feb 25 buried my Mom. ON the 27th received a letter terminating my disability as of June 30. It has been a hectic two months getting my Doctor's on board to make an appeal. Had a heart stress Thursday. Didn't pass, which means my disability will probably resume after they review my records.
Appreciate the concern. I've really been in the dumps. Then yesterday stripped the gears on my Motorcycle. It was scheduled to go in for maintenance Wednesday. This is much more expensive.
