I am 48 years old and have 3 children. Family history has always interested me. Find A Grave is a great way to help others learn more about their own family's past.|
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
on polished, marbled stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I'd exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
one hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
and come to visit you.

thank you for checking on her.
Dear Judy, Thank you for taking your time to take a picture of the tombstone of Robert Freida, I did not even remember where he was buried, it's been so long and I was so young, thank you again, M-D
Thanks Judy, I didn't think they were there.
I tracked looked up all the headstones in the area so I thought I was in the right area, but wasn't 100% sure.
Hi Judy. I see that you have posted a photo to the Charles Kohlmetz memorial. I have unclaimed it so that the photo request may be properly fulfilled.

Judy, thank you for some exceptional photos of my ancestors graves. Being on the other side of the country, I'm not able to visit in person, so it means quite a lot to have someone onsite do such a nice job so quickly! I'm grateful.

Judy, I know you do a lot of good work at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. I am there a lot myself.
However, My 3rd great grandparents (Balthasar and Franziska Harter) are buried there, but it appears they do not have a headstone. They are very near the entrance (Section D, lot 2, grave 20R & 20L).
I wanted to do a photo request, but, I think it is just they do not have a headstone. I don't want anyone to go out of their way, but if pass Sec D, could you confirm I was not lost and it is only grass.

Thank you for his headstone photo.

I noticed that you have a memorial for Sophia. I happened to snap a picture of her and her husband's gravestone the one time I was in Mount Hope Cemetery, but I really am not from the Rochester area. Would it be all right if I transferred her husband's memorial to you? It makes more sense to me if one person owns the memorials of a married couple, and all you have is Sophia's. Let me know, and I'll transfer Christopher's to you. Thanks.
Thank you for the picture of his headstone
