|John M.||John Burroughs Stahl|
I believe the death date you have listed for John Burroughs Stahl is off by one year. He was killed in November, 1944, not 1945.

YOU HAVE POSTED A CEMETERY PHOTO ON ALFRED JOSEPH SEDIVI.
ALFRED SEDIVI WENT DOWN WITH THE SHIP, USS INDIANAPOLIS AND IS STILL AT SEA..... THERE IS A MEMORIAL IN MANILA TO THOSE WHO WERE LOST IN THE PACIFIC, BUT ALFRED SEDIVI IS NOT BURIED, EXCEPT ON THE USS INDIANAPOLIS.

Could you remove the cemetery photo from George Webb's page, 56753961?
I'd like to add a picture of George but the five picture limit on George's page has been reached. There is a picture of his grave on the page and some other photos. I think the best one to delete in the cemetery picture.
|Backward Glance||Thank you|
Thank you for the picture of the US Cemetery in Manila where my grandmother's younger brother, Pvt. Eugene F. Server, was laid to rest when killed in WWII aboard the USS War Hawk in January 1945 after the ship was rammed by a Japanese suicide boat. I have linked him with his parents and siblings at long last.

This young man was my second cousin. All the family knows is that he was killed while serving in the Pacific for the USA Army.
Do you have any other information?

Thank you for adding the photo to my uncles page. I will probably never get to Manilla and it is nice to see where his marker is in remembrance of him..God bless

My Uncle was lost at sea after the sinking of his ship the USS Jarvis(393). I have been looking for years on information of him and your picture of the Manila American Cemetery on his site was the missing piece I was looking for and opened many doors. Thank You so Very Much

Herbert W. Johnson served on a PT Boat with Milton Rackham
and Frank McKuster. Herbert saved the life of Milton Rackham
and he has been torn with his feelings of gratitude, friendship and sadness when he found out that Herbert Johnson was killed in service. His grave number is D 1 104. I see that there was a "disposition according to next of kin." We are trying to find a birthdate and possible parentage of H.W. Johnson. I have contacted the NARA and they have told me that Herbert's Naval Records cannot be found. Just wondering if you have any contact with the Sexton of the Cemetery? Could there be any other data saved from the time of Herberts burial? He died 6 March 1944 in Mindoro.
Would appreciate any contact or help with my search.
YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS are very beautiful and moving. I can almost
feel the breeze and the peace that is there. What a great sacrifice for our freedom. These men are true heroes to be honored.

Thank you for adding the photo of the cemetery in Manila to Ralph K. Hite's page. He was my uncle, my mother's only sibling.
