I am a Military Historian and Reenactor, covering time-periods from the Pirate era to Vietnam in South Carolina. I am currently serving as the Commanding Officer of the "Palmetto Riflemen & New York Zouaves," an American Civil War Reenacting Unit, as well as being a member of the Micah John Jenkins Camp No. 164 of the Sons of Spanish American War Veterans, and the Charles Devens Jr. Camp No. 10, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.|
I see it as an honor and a privilage to ensure that the Veterans of the United States are properly remembered and that there graves are cared for.

|James Carson||William West Hammell|
I wonder if you would be willing to share with me the source(s) of your biographic information on William West Hammell, 9th NY Infantry? I am writing a regimental history of the 16th NY Cavalry, and Hammell had a role in the creation of this unit. James Carson (firstname.lastname@example.org)

Ok, I added the article. I asked you first because your memorial is already so nice. But I do love the old articles, glad you let me post it. Thanks.

Do you happen to know who his mother was the daughter of. Also could you link him to his parents. Frank HIlton McLeod 72552269 and Florence 72552831
Sorry for the very late reply on your requests. Due to lack of time and so many requests it is hard to complete them all in a timely basis. Also I have been off line for a very long time due to personal reasons.
Thank you for the information for William Taylor. I have added it to his memorial. He is laid to rest with his wife, Jospehine.
Per your request I have added a photo of his grave marker.
