Colonel ("Full Bird") William Sugars McLemore
Grave Hunter...shortly after Brig. General Nathan Bedford Forrest upgraded the authority of 4th TN Cavalry Regiment Commander, Colonel James Wellborn Starnes, MD (By way of Forrest turning command of Forrest's 2nd TN Cavalry Brigade over to Colonel Starnes) in late March 1863...Lt. Colonel William Sugars McLemore - Find A Grave Memorial# 6903896 was promoted to the rank of "Full Bird" Colonel, and, then took over command of the 4th TN Cavalry Regiment.

Brig. General Forrest then went on to command two (2) or three (3) TN Cavalry Brigades, and, later in 1863 he was, therefore, promoted to the rank of Major General, CSA.

Please amend your flower for Colonel/Circuit Judge (Williamson County TN) William Sugars McLemore.

Thanks.

I am,

Sincerely yours,

Michael James Morton - USCT Cemetery Mgr. (#49120946)

you take care of the memorial for my GGGG Granfather Samuel Spears. Could you please put in a notation that his exact burial spot is unknown and this memorial headstone was set close to his known homestead that was close by by the Sons of American Revolutionary War . I would appreciate it...
