I am a native of Massachusetts but have lived in Florida since 1979. I spent eight years in the Air Force and then over 45 years in the computer industry as a software engineer before retiring in 1998.
I am the National Chairman of the Family and Friends of the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment Association. I also serve as the webmaster of www.508pir.org, a site dedicated to men of the 508th PIR. The 508th jumped into Normandy and Holland and fought in the Battle of the Bulge in WWII. Subsequently the regiment fought in Korea and Vietnam and today is seeing duty in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The web site has benefited on a number of occasions with photos contributed by Find-A-Grave volunteers
I felt that those contributions should be reciprocated and I have become a volunteer myself.
