I feel these memorial should be maintained by family whenever possible. With that in mind, if I am not personally related to the person, I will be happy to transfer the memorial. |
I spend most of my free time working on my Family history and find roaming old cemeteries is amazing. Some of the headstones I see are nearly unreadable, some are eroded to the point they can no longer be read. This saddens me knowing they are lost forever, no one will ever know who they were. By taking photos and sharing the info, maybe someone who is searching will find who they are seeking.

Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on. Cherished memories will never fade, because ones loved is gone. Those we love can never be, more than a thought apart,for as long as there is a memory, they live with in our heart.

|Eldon Parker||Mike Duncan Transfer|
Thank you so much for the transfer. I will do my best to honor the work you have done for Mike and our family. Thanks again.
I made a mistake on the inscription. I resent the corrected one. The top line is Tu Spociva (Here Rests).

I'm from DeLeon/Gorman area, and not related to Hollander's.
Hi, I had a number of memorials that I had created in my research that I am not related to in the Pearsall cemetery. I thought that it might be better if they were cared for by someone that had other memorials in that cemetery. I had noticed that you seemed to have spent time taking headstone pictures there as well as leaving memorials on a good number of that cemetery's memorials. If you know of another Find A Grave member that has greater interest in that cemetery, please feel free to transfer them to their care. I just thought they would be in better care if they were maintained by someone closer and more connected to Pearsall. Thanks, In memory

I know the burial is in Tarrant County instead of Dallas County by the information on the death certificate. You will note on the death certificate it says death occurred in Tarrant County. Look at section 19 on the death certificate which says Place of Burial or Removal. The cemetery is named, but no county. On Texas death certificates when it gives a cemetery name, but no county, it means the burial occurred within the county where death occurred. If the burial is to be in another county, it is considered a Removal and then the location of the city or county is identified. Usually for a removal the section 19 just has the name of the city or county, such as Waco. Sometimes it will name the cemetery (example: Forestwood Cemetery, Waco.) Since a location other than Fort Worth or Tarrant County was not named, the burial was in a cemetery in Tarrant County. In 1922 when the infant died, the cemetery now known as Greenwood Memorial Park was known as Greenwood Cemetery.

Hi WF, Thank you again. Clinton Eulis "Clint" Lockett died in 2001 in Melrose, Curry County, New Mexico and I cannot find a memorial for him. James B. appears to really be Aubrey Lee Lockett born in 1927 and I cannot determine if he is still living. Please review Richard Earl Lockett's memorial with my changes. Take care, Mike Lockett

Good evening, Thank you very much for your email. Yes, I would appreciate the transfer so that I can enter some information. I had found the Certificate of Death several years ago so I knew about the child but not exactly where he was. I remember when I first read the cause of death "Had no doctor" I nearly cried. I met John Bell Lockett in 1975. He was very nice to me and loaned me a handwritten family tree he had. I copied it and returned it to him. I have walked many cemeteries in Wilbarger County but I need to go back. You are very thoughtful to write and to make the offer. Until a closer Lockett relative comes along I will try to take good care of them. My very best regards, Mike Lockett
