If I don't respond to a request for transfer it means I prefer to retain the memorial.

In the event a photo of a headstone is not included, it generally means that the memorial information was taken from a cemetery transcription or death record. One of those who did the transcription was Elizabeth C. Curtis. Without her efforts cemeteries such as Trinity United Methodist and Old Third Central Presbyterian Cemetery records would not be included or available since neither of the above church exists today, including the cemetery and headstones. I found out on January 21, 2010 that internment's of Old Third Central Presbyterian Church Cemetery have been moved to Riverview Memorial cemetery in Charleston.

Some of the headstones at the Circular Church were impossible to read, however the church had previously documented many of the graves sites by plot #'s. In those cases where I could not read the headstone I used the information from the church records found at the Charleston library to identify the headstones. I did list the plots #'s on the majority of the memorials.

A special thanks to the work of Clare Jervey published in 1906 with the transcription of St. Michael's. Her transcription allowed me to include much that was unreadable.

RE: William Withers
Sorry, I don't remember the website I was referring. But if you google Martha McBee Brunson Guerard, you will pull up " Find a Grave" for her and the aunt for whom she was named, then there is " Vol. No.2" which is a copy of the Carolina Herald one month in 1972...... I've also used the" Mega search" engine with some success. That site was called, "Search" .. SC Archives is a good source. I am placing the found genealogy information on Wikitree, Rootsweb and Find a Grave. Happy Genealogy

RE: William Edward Gordon, MD
In some states Cem are not very well protected. I knew there were at least 2 sets of missing GreatGrand parents missing in the Ames Cem aka Oxbow Hill Cem in Erie Co, PA. A cousin said it had been Bulldozed off by the property owner, she rescued as many of the larger stones and put them where she thought they went.

Another cousin had put me in touch with a Dowser, we went out there and he discovered 17 graves and IDed them. I have found more since then. It takes a ton of paper work to save a Cem in PA

I need to get down to SC to see some of the places where my relatives are, Burnt Church is top of the list. Lyle

RE: William Edward Gordon, MD
I just found today a Will by his wife Catereine that says "my body to be decently intered in the burnt church burial gound at the side of my departed husband" I have entered him into the Cem, his tombstone was probably one of many that are no longer there. Thanks

William Edward Gordon, MD
Have you ever found a Tombstone for William Edward Gordon, MD b. 1772 in Charleston d. 21 Nov 1832 in SC? You have his wife Catherine A. Belser Gordon 31617270 in the Pon Pon Chapel of Ease Cem.

His Daughter Caroline Matilda Gordon Belser is 1804-1869 is in the Andrews Chapel Meth Ch Cem.

Any help you might provide would be great. Thanks, Lyle D. Bishop III, Find-a-grave member.

Find A Grave Memorial# 66173030
My mistake; not Sarah, but Laura D. Aspenwall. And
it's already been created by Steve Centner; he was the one who referenced: Illinois, Cook County Deaths, 1878-1922.
I had remembered the Aspenwall name because I'd never heard it before.
