Update John sadly passed away on Oct. 10, 2015 very suddenly at home. He was my best friend and my partner in all things. We traveled many, many miles to out of the way cemeteries, old cemeteries, and town cemeteries to photograph tombstones. John did all the work of cleaning, digging out (sometimes) and just making the stone more readable so I could take a picture. |
I will miss him so very, very much.

Thank you so much Diane. When there is no photo of the person you know this is the next best thing. Your work is invaluable.

Diane, I am so sorry you have lost your cemetery travelling companion and friend in general. There is nothing like someone to go about and do these very important works with you. My condolences to you.
In your work you have photographed the stone for a relative who is rather far out on the limbs of my tree, and I have no photo other than the stone. I would like to use your picture in a family history book I am attempting to compile, along with putting it on Ancestry. The information to find the stone I refer to is above.
Thanks for your help.
Just saw your message about John's passing. So sorry to hear that. Thank you for all the work you have done. Prayers to you and yours.

Thank you for the Richard Masterson memorial transfer. Sharon
Your work on all these photos is so appreciated and I just noticed your message of John's passing. I am so sorry to hear this news and pray for your strength in this difficult time.
I'm so sorry to hear of John's loss and my heart felt prayers are with you. It seems you two made an awesome team at the tombstone photography. Thank you for posting the photo of my Step-Grandpa John Pinkerton.
Sorry for your loss ,didnt know him but was looking into Parris Foust and wondered how he might fall into place with our Foust's .

Thanks for the reply. By all means you should keep managing these for as long as you enjoy doing it. If it ever becomes a problem for you then I'll take over but until then I'll keep sending you edits for my ancestor's and again, thank you so much for all the work you do. Finding details on Find A Grave about our ancestors has been so very helpful for lots of people researching their roots.
God bless you Diane and you take care.

I was just asking for some edits on some of my family's memorials at Texas Canyon Pioneer Cemetery and noticed your note that John passed on. I've so so for your loss. Want you to know that all your and John's work on memorials has been very much appreciated. If you find the work of managing all those memorials too much for you alone, I would be glad to help you out by taking over my Rice and Shilling family ones. Just let me know.
