Bio and Links
Bio Photo With much of my immediate family growing in and around the Washington D.C area for generations, I was never overly curious about family history. After a friend who was more interested than I found photos of relatives gravesites in other states who were born during the time of Andrew Jackson I was amazed. Even a marker for my grandmother's unnamed infant son which I had seen in home movies had been photographed by someone.
I am most familiar with DC area's, Holy Rood, Arlington Cemetery, Oak Hill and Cedar Hill Cemetery on Pennsylvania Avenue. I have taken many photos for my own enjoyment and for friends over the years, but realize others are often not so near.

1Lt Lewis H. Braden
1Lt Lewis H. Braden was on board of a bomber from the 441st Bomb Squadron, 320th Bomb Group. His plane participated in a bombing raid over Sicily on 17 July 1943. The plane never returned to her base. No remains were ever found. Sergeant Hauber Jr is listed on the Walls of Missing of the Sicily Rome Cemetery in Nettuno, Italy.

You took a picture of his cenotaph. I would like to ask your permission to use that picture for my project about the temporary American GELA Cemetery in Sicily, where over 1,200 men and women were buried between July 1943 and April 1947. If his remains would have been found, he would have been buried at Gela.

I have my project available on a DVD, titled "They stayed behind".

Of course you will be credited

Thanks. I did find her - it was one of your memorials at Holy Rood! And her parents are in your edits to link.

RE: Leo & Celestine Cox

Michael the pictures look sharp. Thank-you.
The flag looks glorious in front of the stones.

I just notice that Celestine, was a PFC?

Wow. I was not aware that she was a veteran.
Thanks to you, and your clear photo, I know now.

I am so grateful you are keeping your talents
sharp and fresh.

You have given peace to others through your work.

Thank-you

Alice Williams Repetti
Thank you for the great photos and for transferring Alice Repetti's memorial.

I hope you also located some of your own relatives while you were at the cemetery.

Your help is appreciated.
