Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in northwest Iowa and am a retired journalism/English teacher. My husband and I enjoy walking cemeteries and finding gravestones, wondering about the life of the person buried there. We are glad to help others learn about their family history.

Genealogy fits my personality... combining a love of research, computer, writing, photography, and family.

I have enjoyed meeting other individuals and chatting about their pursuit of their ancestors' information. Although one can never truly "finish" researching a family line, I set a deadline of July each summer to "finish" one family line and enter it in the local county fair. I have won Best of Show the past seven years and in doing so, have been able to reach out to others and help them learn how to start searching for their own ancestors.

Ann,
Thank you for looking for little Ruth. She must be with her mother, Sylvia. They both died in the tornado in 1885.

Mary Gregg???
Please check the headstone photo that you have put on memorial #65531490 for Mary Gregg. The dates and name do not fit-only thing that is correct is the first name.

I don't know if I replied to you yet or not. I checked my notes from Hubby's Aunt and she listed Storm Lake. SOOOOO, now back to the drawing board.

SORRRRY for any inconvience this caused you. Thanks for your time for ALL of us trying to locate our ancestors.

Thank you so much for taking the time and making an effort to send me a photo of Donald Hankens memorial stone. He was my DeMolay dad and a great friend and role model for me. I am 79 and remember my visit with him in his office and at his house many times. Thanks again
