I was born and raised in West Frankfort, Il. My father and mother are Fred & Mildred (Southerland) Harkins. My family came from Alabama, Kentucky & North Carolina. My husband's family came from Tennessee & North Carolina. I have been told that my ancestors and my husband's originated in Ireland. I've yet to travel across the ocean on this internet or by any other means to substantiate it. I am getting close though! |
I am researching, Harkins, Green, Galloway, Misskelly, Crowell, Southerland, Sullivan, Newcomb, McDaniel, Guthrie, McClintock, Ice, Fleming, Martin, Willhite, Nolen, Carr, Yates, & Davis, to name a few. Any information or help on these surnames is most welcomed and I will be sure to do you the favor in kind.
I am sure this FAG website is going to become a really fantastic site, especially if everyone takes care when adding information concerning each soul that is memorialized. I am proud to be a part of this website and able to help people locate their loved ones and learn all about them.
If you want to use my photo's, you are welcome to do so, but I would like recognition for them, please. If you don't agree with my findings and have documentation to prove I am wrong, please by all means feel free to let me know by email. If I make any mistakes, please let me know. I try not to make any but we all fall short of this! Now enjoy!

Youre right. Ralph Howe is hubby to Grace. Charles Clark Howe is their son. Thank you :)
|Monica Woodward||RE: Re: Mary Clark nee Callander|

Grace was born in New Monkland, Lanarkshire, Scotland 29 Jan 1869 and died 1945 Franklin Co, Illinois. Thank you for checking.

Thank you so much for the kind offer, but I already have it. :)

Hello - In regard to your edit suggesting that Emma died in West Frankfort, Franklin, IL, that is correct, so I thank you for bringing that to my attention. However, the birth date you suggest - Feb. 12, 1853 - is incorrect if she died on May 24, 1923 at the age of 70 yrs 2 mos 12 days. The birth date I have of March 12, 1853 is correct. May is two months after March. If she had been born on Feb. 12, 1853, she would have been 70 yrs 3 mos 12 days old on May 24, 1923. Also, according to the Illinois Deaths and Stillbirths Index she was born 12 Mar 1853 and died 24 May 1923. Sorry, I'll need to decline the edit even though half of it (place of death) is correct.
If you are related to Emma and would like to manage the memorial page, please let me know. She is not my blood relative. She was the third wife of my first cousin, three times removed, Topaz Beryl Beachum.

Yes it has settled some over the years, but I don't know if the family or cemetery is responsible for something like that. Your best bet would be to contact them direct. I'm 90 miles from there and took the photo when I was there visiting my great grandparents.
