RE: Baldelli 66578995
For the past decade I have been researching the Vacca family whose origin is the area of the Italian Piedmont known as the Canavese. Branches of the family immigrated to the US beginning early 1870s--some to Braidwood, Illinois; Collinsville, Illinois; Barton Co, Missouri; and Frontenac, Kansas. William Baldelli is a Vacca descendant through his mother Maggie (Vacca) Baldelli Smarda. William Baldelli. is my 3rd cousin, 3 generations removed. I first found his name in a c. 1960 memoir/family history written by Joe Vacca (1897-1973). Since then I have found William Baldelli in other Vacca family trees, and in the 1930 Census, living with his parents (Baldelli) in Collinsville. His parents were divorced in the early/mid 1930s and his mother, Margaret (Maggie) Vacca Baldelli married William Smarda around 1937. I did not find William Baldelli (age 2yrs 7 mos at census time) in the 1920 Census, although his parents Emilio Baldelli and Maggie Vacca Baldelli are listed and living in the home of her parents. Perhaps son William was erroneously omitted from that Census. It is not uncommon to find omissions, especially in households where the residents don't speak English in the local dialect. Hope this information justifies the edit. Thank you for your contributions to Findagrave. These memorials are a valuable resource to family historians. Sincerely, Carol

Have checked the cemetery records and also checked and confirmed that what is on his memorial is what is written on his headstone. The first photo of the headstone from years ago used to create the memorial has been withdrawn over copyright issues. But I did a rubbing to double check. So I will leave it as is but will keep it under consideration as to how to denote that someone has a issue with this.

George A. & Margaret Gilmore Palmer
May I please use your photos of George A. and Margaret Gilmore Palmer's headstones on my Family Tree? I will, of course, give you credit. George Alexander Palmer is paternal grandfather of wife of 3rd cousin 2x removed. It's so nice to have something tangible for a person when you don't have access to family photos. Thank you so much for your consideration.

It appears I've duplicated this memorial. Another one exists that was created before mine. You added your photos to my memorial. Please be kind enough to move them to the other memorial (#88226007). Once that's done, I'll delete my duplicate memorial.
Thank you, Carol Cotton
