Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been a genealogist for 27 years. I was born in Kansas and grew up in Kansas until I was a sophomore in high school. We then moved to Des Moines, Iowa where I finished high school. I have lived all over the country and traveled in 43 states. I love the history of our country and studying my families along with their friends and neighbors. I keep a huge database of families because I track them as they travel westward. I have helped many people find their ancestors because I have a gift at tracking families, so I want to share that with others. I don't always find everyone, but my percentage rate is at least 95% of the time. They call me the sleuth!! One of my friends once told me "ya can't hide from you!"

My father was adopted in 1920 and I found our biological family in 1992 when he was 72 years old. I am willing to help adoptees try to find their families, especially the stolen children of Georgia Tann of the Tennessee Children's Home Society in Memphis, Tennessee.

I recently completed research for Hewitt Clarke's new book, "Money and Blood" and am currently doing research for another new book he's going to publish. The story features a section on the family of Filmore Johnson and his wife, Betty Levy and the self made million, Robert Johnson who started BET television, whom is a descendant of Filmore Johnson.

My paternal families

Due to people stealing my tombstone photos without permission and not so much as documentation and putting them on ancestry, I will not grant permission to use any of them. Only one Example arabianvoice Karen Sherrill Sanders, who refuses to take them down after numerous requests.

RE: Clifton Leonard Hunter
I did remove one of the two photos. As I've looked at various photos on here in my own ancestry work there are lots of photos of cemetery entrances and additional headstones of various family members. Not entirely sure why the photos I uploaded were problematic for you, especially given the fact that there wasn't a headstone for the man requested since he's buried in the same grave with his wife.

#2184319 Cedar Valley United Methodist Church.
Cedar Valley United Methodist Church. The address is incorrect.
The correct physical address is "1034 Cedar Valley Church Rd. Lenoir, NC 28645".
Find A Grave has it as 2755 Blue Creek Rd Lenoir 28645, Caldwell County North Carolina USA. This is the address for Mt Zion Methodist Church.
That is a separate location altogether. I have been to both. I don't know how to correct the physical address myself. or I would try. I spent nearly a year trying to find this church because the address was wrong.

Thanks for looking into this.

RE: Easter Alice Hughes Hixson
Well shiver me timbers:) Always room for sorry. With your large numbers I never dreamed you would be related to a Hixson from Hamilton County, TN. Have a good one.

John Click, son of Lewis Click
I found an article in the Madison County, NC Record, announcing his death on Jan 11, 1903 and his burial the next day. It did announce his age as 76, which I do question. This is John Click of Hot Springs, NC, son of Lewis and Sallie Crum.

Dear Carolyn Whitaker,
I am a descendant of Joseph Whitaker and Obedience Perdue through their eldest son, James. Very little information on their son Thomas. Please email me at and I want to thank you for your contribution to Find-a-Grave.
