Bio and Links
Bio Photo we started out about 5-6 years ago to find my Ward grandparents in Missouri, and from there we find geneology and grave searching fun.
We have decided to honor those who have gone before us by photographing an entire cemetery when we can. This has proved interesting and satisfying. Unfortunately some people are not careful about posting duplicate memorials which has made a fun project more difficult. Please check before posting a memorial! please feel free to use our photo with credit to us for there use

RE: Edmund Hurlbutt
I forgot. There was an Edmund Hurlbutt who died in Eureka, CA. 59181749. There was another one who stayed in Dalton, NH. And the one who went to Marshalltown, IA where he died. Probably others.

Which one's bible do you have?

RE: Edmund Hurlbutt
Hi, good to hear from you. That was a good find. I am particularly interested in finding out more about what happened to Nathaniel Hurlbutt, son of Alba, brother of Edmund, I think. He went to the Gold Rush with David Cook and died in 1849 or before March 1850. I have a few sketchy details of that in which I had a lucky, unexpected find, much as yours, but I want to know where he died, the date, where buried, etc.

I would appreciate knowing anything I wouldn't have as those were all close. I did quite a bit of research in Marshalltown and have some obits and burial places of most of the ones there. They had some misfortune with typhus.

There is no cause of death for Levi Hubbard Hurlbutt and Willard Osgood; both died young; Willard is buried in West Truro Cemetery, not sure if Levi Hubbard is or not.

I also have a nice photo of Edmund. Unfortunately the scan is on my other computer that is not functional. I know the photo is here someplace but I'd be hard put to find it right now.

When my grandfather was putting a new house on his place he sought advice from Edmund about design, materials and building. Edmund wrote a letter about it; I have that somewhere. Also have a card Jennie Penny wrote from Marshaltown on a visit. The branches of the family kept in touch. I'd be hard put to find those, too, as papers everywhere. Regards, hope you are well.

Sara Glazier
The Turtleville Cemetery Committee does not have any record of Sara Glazier being buried in Turtleville Cemetery. I am on the Committee.
Do you have an obituary or death certificate with any other information?

Thanks for your help...Gramma Kathy

I am interested to see where this ends....

RE: John Kirby
Hello, just got you messages. and do a lot of genealogy for others, so do not remember whose family I was looking for a Miller. As to Oliver Perry Kirby, the reason you could not find it, was who put it in, spelled his name differently than I do. Oliver is my g-grandfather, and parent of John H. Kirby, who was killed in Salt Lake City, in 1891. His brother, was my grandfather. Oliver Perry Kerbey, (b/ 1822, d.1890. This the way that other person spelled his name, and he is John's papa, and Hannah McCrossen,(b.1826, d.1878) is his mother. I would like for Oliver to be listed as John H.Kirby's father. Oliver's mem. # is 121332577, Hannah's Mem. # # 14670689---Oh, and John Hamilton Kirby, their son, is: ## 69667535-
