Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm Peter Hakze, residing in the city of Almere in the center of the Netherlands, 15 miles east of Amsterdam. Since about 1985 I'm investigating a.o. my mother's family Van der Tuin (= Of the Garden). In March/April 1893 Johannes van der Tuin and his wife Margje Groen (= Green) emigrated with their children from NL to South Dakota, Charles Mix County, Edgerton (or Overijssel), a settlement near Platte. Margje's parents and siblings Groen emigrated at the same time to the same place. I'm interested in all what happened there to them, so if you have some info for me which isn't already on my Rootsweb site, I would be very grateful.
Since a few years I'm also very interested in all other Dutch families that emigrated from the Netherlands to the USA and Canada incl. their descendants and I like very much to improve their FAG memorials with more info and photos, create new memorials for them and link them to their ancestors in the Netherlands.

Hi there my friend. I just wanted to tell you hello and see how you and your wife are doing. I am okay and haven't been on Find A Grave much or Ancestry because I have been busy looking to find a new position.

Thanks for letting me know about my error with Tommy, Jr. All fixed! Also found the record for Teunis/Thomas, Sr and created his memorial. (150203964) I must have missed him the first time through. I appreciate the help!

RE: Reinder and Jennie Groen, gravestone photos
Peter- with all do respect. Your personal email arrived at 8pm last night (19 Jul), my original email was sent to you on 16 Jul--I do not live on the internet and sent previous msg on Find A Grave this morning to you and had not yet checked my personal email today (20 Jul). Appreciate your willingness to offer assistance, but do not appreciate your aggressive verbage. I work on my entire family genealogy on spare time as my research on Corsica/Harrison/New Holland History(towns in SD) is higher priority. I do know a bit about the world as I spent 24 yrs traveling it and know there can be some language barriers no matter how well we all try. Please be patient and if you have info to post on Find A Grave, request the temporary transfer from the current holder. Under FAGs own FAC listing--just because I am related to a Find A Grave listing does not mean I have to have control of it. Again, appreciate your time and valuable knowledge you have to offer everyone on Find A Grave. Sorry you feel frustrated with my way of working genealogy, but that is my way-just as everyone has their own way. As soon as I have the ability to answer your questions in the email I will do so--my day thus far is booked with activities, and email is at the bottom of that list of things. Thank you for your reply--be patient, I will get you answers. Again, thank you for all you have to offer.

RE: Isaac Vander Meer, gravestone
I see the error, photo removed. Sent a edit request for posting the following: This burial has no grave marker. This will eliminate any future requests for a photo. I know this as I walked the entire cemetery.

Uithuizen Oud

I saw you took a photo for Uithuizen Oud Cemetery. I can't find out where it's located - can you help? We are visiting Uithuizen soon and I would love to see some of my husband's ancestors' graves. Graftombe has a list and photos, but it would be nice to go there ourselves too. Thank you!

RE: Edward R. Van Til
Your welcome.
One correction for you. Edward Van Til died in the County of Jasper Indiana, not the town of Jasper, Indiana in Dubois County, Indiana.

I posted your Munneke request. Let me know if there is anything else. I made note of your contact info and will be getting in touch with you soon. I am trying to locate descendents of my great grandfather Berend Bolt's sister's. Some are named Kuypers and I will have more data for you to work with if you are willing to assist. Thanks much!!!
