|Mary Joan||Info concerning John Bostater|
Contact Cecelia at the email address below. She is the President of the Defiance County Genealogy Society and has information to share concerning the burial of many of the early Bostater's in the Ney, Ohio area.
John and his wife Agnes are not buried in the Ney Cemetery, it was not in existence in 1849. they were most likely buried in Bostater Cemetery which no longer exists. Cecelia has been researcing the burials and will be happy to share more information. She is very busy, so keep sending emails until she replies!

|Connie Denihan||RE: Buckmaster, Jennings|
I think they are confused as well. If you look at the tombstones they are all the same design - they have to be Jennings. Maybe you can get someone to go to the cemetery and verify. First look at the tombstone for Mary Susan Howell Jennings laying beside the big Jennings stone, then look at John P. Buckmaster's stone per Find A Grave. It only says John. P. and matches Mary's stone design and is lying beside a big stone. Then look at the data on Find A Grave for John Preston Jennings - they are the same dates, but no picture. If you then look at Sarah Alice Jennings Buckmaster and George Myrtle Buckmaster's stones - they are the same design as the other Jennings stones. I know I have walked and read cemeteries in our local county and when proof reading before printing you do find mistakes and I think that is what has happened.
|Michael J Thompson||mismatch of gravestone|
The gravestone that is shown for John P. Buckmaster interred at Fairview cemetery is the gravestone for a John P. Jennings (my great grandfather) who is also interred at Fairview. I maintain the memorial for Jennings, don't know who Buckmaster was. This was brought to my attention by someone else earlier today. Just passing the info along.
