|Doug Corbin||RE: Joshua and Mary Blocher Clark|
Do you have any information on the daughter of Joshua Clark and Mary Blocher named Sarah? I really think that she was my ancestor.
I have ggggrandparents named Joshua Allen and Sarah Clark. They were from Ohio and moved to the Wayne/Lucas area of Iowa. In Iowa they had several land transaction with David B Clark who was a son of Joshua Clark and Mary Blocher. That's why I've always thought that there was a connection between Sarah Clark Allen and David B Clark. The Findagrave entry for Mary Blocher Ryun mention a daughter named Sarah so I'm hoping that she was my ancestor.

You're listed as a contributor to the family information on the memorial for Mary Blocker Ryun who was buried in Wayne Co, Iowa. Do you have any information on the daughter named Sarah? I believe that my ggggrandmother, Sarah Clark, the wife of Joshua Allen was that daughter.

I have a photo of Olive Isabel Trew, the wife of James, if you are interested. Her sister Jessie was my great grand aunt. I would like to know why James changed his surname and when he came to British Coulmbia, if possible.

Thank you for the info. The person requesting the add info to the photo was
Linda S. Brennan (#47658369) firstname.lastname@example.org
John is her 3g-grandfather...so you would be related same generation, although I do not know which child she descends from..I am not so I transferred my memorials to her.
RE: John Stokesberry 1818-1867
RE: photo caption--I actually added the photo to this memorial as well as the one the other memorial in existence for John Stokesberry (Stokesbury). I received a copy of this photo from my great uncle Richard Nailen. Elizabeth Ann Stokesbury was my great, great grandmother. I also added her photograph to her memorial as well. The copy of her photo was also received by me from Richard Nailen.

Helen, thank you for the updated info...I will change the memorial...I was searching for my Bybees when I found this out of the way cemetery and there were several stones there that were difficult to read but I took pictures and created the memorials. Are you a descendant of John?
I have added a photograph that I have of John Stokesberry. I have the dates of 4 Sep 1818 for his birth and 12 May 1867 for his death.
If you look at the headstone, it looks as if the stone is chipped which is making the 7 look like a 2. It doesn't seem to match up with the other two. His marriage date is 29 October 1840.
This is the information that I have from my great uncle Dick Nailen who does quite a bit of geneological work on various families.
There are two Oakland Cemeteries in Johnson County, Iowa. One is in Iowa City, the other is a bit north, near Solon. In case it helps...

You are welcome. I notice yopu have other Osborns at All Souls. If you call them 562-424-8601 and get the locations, I will get the photos. Post the locations at my e-mail address. . That stone today had on contrast and is difficult to read standing right over it. It is in a large, flat area with no statues or trees. Glad you are happy. cb
