Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in White Sulphur Springs, Greenbrier County, West Virginia, with my husband and 3 children. Family history/Genealogy is my passion!! Currently I am finishing the photos for Old Stone Presbyterian Church in Lewisburg, WV, and I have just begun photographing Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg. I do ask that you be patient with me. I photograph the headstones and create memorials quickly, but I also do research to post as much information as I can find for each memorial. And that takes time. So if anyone has information to contribute or has a family member they want transferred please let me know. As soon as I am finished uploading memorials I will start on the headstone photos.

C. Burtner Gibbs
This man is Canary Burtner Gibbs, not Charles. My grandmother knew his family. He filled out his own birth certificate as an adult and signed his full name:

Could you please correct it? Thanks.

I included family data for his father and two of his uncles in a public message to Linda Mecham, who manages Sabina Jane McKeever Gibbs's gravesite. One of the uncles really is Charles Burtner Gibbs, buried at Valley Bethel Cemetery in Highland County, VA. Some of it might be helpful to you. I have been researching Christina Ludy and her family for years, but I am new to this Find a Grave network.

Is it acceptable to add a memorial for someone who is still living?
Please try to avoid it. In general, we do not encourage adding memorials for individuals who are still living. We do realize, however, that when transcribing a cemetery, it is not always possible to determine if the person is living or not. Please do not add pre-need memorials from (1931-present) to Find A Grave. Memorials for individuals who are alive will be removed when requested (the exception being for 'famous' individuals who already have a burial location in place). You are always welcome to create a 'pre-need' memorial for yourself, if you would like, provided that you have a pre-need headstone already in place in a cemetery

RE: Calwell (Caldwell) Cemetery, White Sulphur Spring, WV
Hi Leslie,

It is on property of The Greenbrier Resort in the area where homes are now built. Another FindAGrave member recently gained permission to go into the cemetery and take pics which he is to post on this site but so far he has not done so. He said he would get photos of all the stones.
That is all the information I have. The photo was given to me by the past historian at The Greenbrier.

Elmer Ellsworth Cooke
Elmer was my grandfather's half brother but the rest spelled just Cook. He is the only one of the family I don't have a picture of. I had a uncle and a cousin that were named Ellsworth. Was nice to see a picture of their headstone. Thanks very much.
