Both my parents were born in Bath Co, VA, my mothers Grose family having been there for generations, but my father's Marcum and Salmons family having migrated from lower Wayne Co, WV. Three words were passed around in our family of locations over there...Stonecoal, Marrowbone and Bullcreek. I often go over to Kermit, Mingo Co, WV, and do research on cemeteries there, but also have tried to cover all my families burial locations in Virginia.
I also have a large base of family that live in Baltimore, MD, Eastern Texas, Michigan and Florida.
I started researching in 1991. What got me started was a girl gave me a pedigree chart and I could barely fill in 2 generations back. So I have enjoyed researching and discovering all there is of my family.
