I am researching my North Louisiana grandparents' surnames: MAY, MCBROOM, PLUNKETT, and ROWELL. Please let me know if you have any information to add to my memorials.|
Also, you are welcome to use any of my pictures.

|Aaron Roe||Purselley transfer|
Thank you for transferring the Purselley memorials to me. And thank you for your contributions to find-a-grave.
|NGL||Sadie A. Rowell Cambron|
Ms. Sadie is no kinship to me, so I transferred this to you since she is in your Rowell family research. Kind regards, Nancy

Doug - I do not know what it means to transfer the memorial to me. I do not live in Mobile, and there is no marked grave for Enoch Samuel Cabler. So, I don't know whether I want to manage the memorial, or not. Please advise.

Sorry for the late reply. I am sorry, but I don't know if they are one and the same.
I married into the Rowell family so I don't know too much. Most of my husband's ancestors were from the Franklin/Fountain area. I am most researching the McMillan family.

Backtracking on her DC's .... one filled out by her son left off info, parents names being one item. The other DC, a "duplicate certificate filled out for correction and completion", was used to fill in the missing info from original DC. It was filled out by someone else, not the son. Wonder why they felt the need to do that?

I don't honestly recall why I made those memorials ... mainly I think because of his name Garnett vs Garrett, the marriage location, and I have Smith names from that region. I also recall someone asking about the Garrett/Garnett name because all they ever had was the initial "G" and family always "assumed" it to be Garrett. I just never went back to follow up on them.
With the informant being their son, I would hope he knew the names of his grandparents, so I can only go by what he puts on the DC's for their names. It could be a coincidence that names and dates are similar to your inherited info, or perhaps he remembered their names incorrectly and your names might be correct. Sorry at this time I have no further info but as I have time, will try to remember to search more on the names.

Thank you very much. If you send the photograph to my email, I will add it to the entry with an explanation.
|George Seitz||D. French Dulany|
Hello Mr. McBroom,
Your Find A Grave Memorial# 67472260 at Fairfax Cemetery indicates French Dulany is interred there. In fact he is at Falls Church Episcopal. The monument for the Confederate Dead at Fairfax contains many names that are buried elsewhere. The monument was not intended to say where, but to honor all. I bring this up because of my intent to enter Dulany at Falls Church. Would you please delete your entry so as duplication and confusion could be avoided?
Thank you for your consideration.

Hi Doug, I am sure that the pictures are of the same stone. I know that the sign says Gilliland Cemetery, so if someone is calling it Ames, I don't know where they got that from. Looks like these cemeteries need to be merged to me. It is possible that all of my memorials are actually duplicates in that case. I need to look each of them up first, in both cemeteries. I never checked Ames when adding the pictures, since I knew the sign said Gilliland! Thanks for pointing this out!
