I am researching the different branches of my family tree. Maternal Rose, Kuhns, Drylie, Muse, & Silvis. Paternal any descendants or ancestors Of Christian & Charlotte King and Isaac/Isaiah and Emma Conover & John and Rebecca Wallace. I have traced some of these lines back to England, Germany, Scotland, Ireland as far back as 1410. I became a grave hunter when a family story led me on a search for the grave of a child who was born in 1884 and died in 1888 between census records, the church where he was baptized burned losing all records, there was not mandatory birth registration so there was no proof he ever existed. I have now been involved in a tombstone project photographing entire cemeteries in my area. My friend Franny and I have photographed 106 cemeteries in Allegheny, Fayette, Washington and Westmoreland Counties in Pennsylvania however getting them all uploaded to Find A Grave has proven to be a very long and slow process so if anyone out there is looking for someone who could be buried in this area please don't be afraid to ask it is possible one of us already has a photo. For anyone out there doing the same thing--- THANK YOU.|
A LITTLE FYI; I TYPE MY OWN TRANSCRIPTS FROM PHOTOS MY FRIEND AND I HAVE TAKEN. I DO NOT USE PRE-EXISTING TRANSCRIPTS. I FIND THEM TO BE FULL OF ERRORS. CASE IN POINT SEVEN DOLORS IN YUKON HAS 500+ MEMORIALS THAT THE CHURCH SAYS ARE NOT BURIED THERE.

Thanks so much for taking the requested marker photos in the very large Monongahela Cemetery. Photographs are the greatest contributions volunteers can make!

Slow down I'm trying to keep up :)
I was entering Sarah's marriage to John E. Gates when my inbox displayed that you had sent me another Find A Grave message. I had located her obituary in The Evening Standard of Uniontown PA dated Monday Oct 17, 1960. I hadn't downloaded her death certificate yet as I have to ask someone that has a paid Ancestry account to get them for me. They don't have a problem doing it, just takes a little time to get it from them.
Thanks for keeping me up to date and hopping trying to keep up.

I took a look at Ancestry, and though I could find Rose E. Offutt in some trees, none included the obit. Most were unsourced or used one or more census hits. Oh well, thanks

Tky for the pics of Bozo Brakus and his wife headstones.

I saw that you've changed William Offutt to William Griffith Offutt, and have full dates and places for birth and death. I wondered where you had found that as his date of death preceeds the use of Death Certificates?

I saw them, they are a great deal of help in providing source material.

Hope I'm not being a pain. I just had a question regarding Rose Ella Offutt. How did you get her middle name? Additionally do you know what newspaper her obituary was printed in? I tried to find an obituary for her on Newspapers.com and GenealogyBank and came up empty. I would like to attach this to her record and cite the newspaper it was printed in if possible.
Once again thanks for posting all of this. I especially appreciated the two death certificates you have attached.
I've also added a picture of Dr. Lemuel Offutt to his memorial that was printed in 1906 in "History of Westmoreland County Pennsylvania", compiled by John W. Jordan publisher "The Lewis Publishing Company"
