Old Note: I have been involved in researching my family history for the past 25 years. When I found Find A Grave I considered it a wonderful new tool and now I'd like to contribute to this virtual cemetery with bio's and photos of my own beloved family members.

My trees include a big connection to Norway and the names: Norby/e, Johnson, Lien, Wigen, Nummedal, Behrents and Daehlin.
My husband's trees connect to Scotland/Ireland, early America, Sweden and Norway. Names include: Ferris, Pillsbury, Donaldson and Thorson.

I'm currently working on a website with our family trees. It is free and easy to register. (All you need is a name and your choice of username and password.) If you have a name in one of my virtual cemeteries, there may be much more in my site. Please come visit! (In March 2018 I accepted a transfer of 115 memorials in Springfield Cemetery, Winneshiek County, Iowa. Most are not related to me and I'd be happy to transfer them to others.)

Pet Peeve Section:
1. My husband and I travel to cemeteries, sometimes long distances, only to take photos of relatives' graves, and then we snap a few more that are nearby. I use Photoshop to enhance every photo. However, I have just a small camera and am not a professional photographer. If you take a photo that is distinctly better, I'm willing to remove mine, but have the common courtesy to let me know. Don't post basically the same photo.

2. I am so sad that managers of memorials interpret "guidelines" as "rules". Memorials should rest with family, regardless of the relationship. If there is a controversy, then use the guidelines to interpret whether someone is more closely related than someone else. Do you really want to become a Fallen Graver and leave 50,000 memorials to someone else, equally unrelated? If you send me an edit and are related in any way, please let me know. I am eager to transfer memorials!
