I have been working on my family history/genealogy for two branches of my family for about 12 years. I have now written two books for family members on both sides. I love doing genealogical research! It is so interesting and it is important for future generations to know about their roots. My full name is Bobbie Stuart Wilson Tkacik. I am interested i the Wilsons from Butler County, PA, Meigs County Ohio and the Stuarts from Hardin County, KY. In the photo I am at the grave of my 5th Great Grandfather William Wilson. It was such an exciting day when I finally found the stone!|

Thank you so much for looking. I feel sure if no marker was found she is probably unmarked or has a field stone. Her husband Thaddeus Stephen Ellis died in 1879 and is buried at this cemetery. She was left with 6 children from 3 to 22. I can imagine the more immediate problem was finding homes for those kids still at home.

Emma married Henry Clay Wooldridge. We have Wooldridges on my Mother's side. My great grand was Minnie Ann Wooldridge daughter of James Larkin.

That's great that Eleanor's stone is fixed. I'll have to take a look at it next time I'm there. If you have a clearer picture, post it and I'll delete the old one. I can also transfer the stone to you if you like. trees from the cemetery... I'm not too happy about it but I suppose its for the best. They removed a 160 year old evergreen shrub around the Gibson Family Stone. Supposedly it will save time mowing but I think it will add more time.

Please use the edit tab on the top right of the memorial page. When the page opens up, click on the top line, a box will appear, typy your request in there.

Thank you for searching the cemetery. I have a feeling the memorials were created from documentation and the tombstones have long since disappeared. I'm contacted the memorial owner and asked her to post a note on the memorial that there are no stones so people don't request photos. Thank you again for your help. Sharon

I'm glad you made it up to Bear Creek! Thats a long trip from Georgia. I'll take a look at my cemetery records and see where Armstrong Wilson's stone is supposed to be. It should still be there because I haven't found any places where old misplaced stones are kept (in some cemeteries they pile them up along the side sometimes). I'll let you know what I find and hopefully get you a picture.
I haven't forgot about looking for Wilson family stuff in my collection - Ive just been really busy and haven't gotten around to it. I'll send what I can find sometime soon.

I have been away from my computer for awhile and believe I have talked to you before about getting you some info on William Wilson. I'll get around to looking for it soon. Just wanted to let you know I didn't forget.

Thanks for checking on this Bobbie. I'm not totally sure if she's buried here but I'll keep researching this.
