My name is Jack Shatzer. I was born and raised in Southern Pennsylvania. Inspired by my Grandmother, many years ago, I have been continually working the family tree. I am a true Pennsylvania German. I am "Shatzer" - "Byers" - "Strike" on my father's side and "Peiffer" - "Sprenkle" - "Diehl" on my mother's side. These ancestors were mostly tenant farmers in Franklin and Adams County, PA.

Find-A-Grave has been a wonderful addition to my Genealogy interests. It has encouraged me to collect obituaries and old photographs from the family; then take on the challenge of finding and photographing their graves. Building memorials is the reward for all of this effort. I love it!
